Despite an amazing location, the prices remain relatively reasonable and the quality - pretty high. Overall, it's a decent place to go to and despite a cheesy theme is everything but a tourist trap. The restaurant focuses on the High Savoy specialties - most importantly various melted cheese dishes, notably fondues, tartiflette and raclettes. During our visit, we opted for fondue and several small dishes with a central plate of melted cheese with charcuterie. The incredible amounts and great cheeses definitely contributed to our satisfaction with this place, but the wines offered on the menu, the mood on the inside and a nice and welcoming server contributed to creating a great overall experience.

It's a weekday evening at 8:15pm and as I arrive I see how quaint this small restaurant is and anticipate how good this dinner will be. There are 10 or 12 tables and only 3 tables are being used. I ask the bartender for a table (in French) and he rudely asks "did you make a reservation?" I said no. He said "sorry we are full". I look at the 9 open tables and wondered what was going on. I politely left but if he could have heard my thoughts! There are many other great little places in Evians. Pass.

I had the Fera fish from the Léman Lake in a cream sauce with sides of rice and vegetables (carrots and green beans). It was absolutely some of the best fish I have ever eaten. The fish didn't taste fishy and wasn't dry. The rice was delicious mixed with the cream sauce. The veggies were perfectly seasoned and cooked. I would highly recommend trying this restaurant while you're in town.
