Unique upscale restaurant in the historical district of Puebla. The atmosphere is very quiet and chic. The chef really takes time to present their food as an art form. I had the gorditas de alberjon, which consisted of bone marrow, two gorditas, grasshoppers, and corn. The presentation of the dish was so unique and pretty. Some may be grossed out by the dish but I loved it! The grasshoppers tasted like stir fried ground meat. They also have a variety of selections of entrees on the menu. I would visit again in the future.

We had complimentary breakfast here since the dining area of our hotel was under construction. They brought us fresh cut fruit with some kind of cream with granola and some kind of crispy bread with jam to start. The bread was yummy and crunchy and reminded me of packaged bread I had in Europe a long time ago. The fruit was refreshing too. Our meal comes with orange juice and eggs and beans, but they overcooked my eggs, so I didn't enjoy them very much. This place is fancy and they play American songs covered my other artists. Every morning, I ordered my eggs the same way, but they never seemed to get mine right lol. On our last two days in Puebla, our server mentioned that we could order something else and just pay the difference! We were excited to be able to get something else and ordered a few different things. Breakfast was much better since then and we started our day with a happier belly. Too bad they didn't mention this before!!

The city of Puebla is best known for this dish and the most respected restaurant is "Entre Tierras". I was honored to meet Chef Fernando Gallego who shared with me so many "secrets" in order to make the perfect Chiles en Nogada. This restaurant serves the dish on 100 year old Talavera plates which are replicas of the one used to serve Don Agustin De Iturbide on August 28, 1821 as he signed the Treaty of Cordoba agreeing to the independence of Mexico from Spain. The dish was first served then which was created by nuns from the local convent. This year, we celebrate "Chiles en Nogada's" 200 year anniversary. If you notice, it is garnished with pomegranate seeds and parsey and served with a white nut cream sauce which together represents the colors of the new Mexican flag. The filing is usually 50% meat and 50% fruits with almonds and red pinenuts from Coahuil, cloves and cumin. The fruits typically are apple Panocheras, pears from San Juan, and apricots from Calpan. Local herbs are also used. It is a complicated and time consuming dish that is so delicious and makes your tastebuds so very happy.

One of the best Mexican gourmet restaurants in Puebla Centro. Always a changing menu and a really great service.

The ceviche was great but had small hard seeds inside

Looking for a romantic dinner in Puebla? This is the place. Very quiet and private with a good wine menu, special drinks and solid menu. The ceviche was tasty but not seed free. The mole pipian was fantastic very nutty and mild paired perfectly with the juicy pork and white wine.

Entre Tierra gets an A+ for service and presentation. The food was delicious but not very memorable (other than possibly because of the presentation). I love spicy food, but the chipotle beef I had was just far too spicy. This isn't a complaint I can recall ever making. But overall, I'd say Entre Tierra is worthwhile, I would consider returning.

El mole siempre ha sido uno de mis platillos favoritos y el mole Poblano de aquí fue de lo mejor que hemos comido. Compramos para llevar a casa y poder compartir un poco con nuestra familia. Five for the service and atmosphere, 3.75 for the food…read more The room is beautiful and the murals make a lovely backdrop for the meal. Be aware that the prices are high for the locale. There is an English menu available online but not in the restaurant. Here's where I get confused. The service is excellent, full white tablecloth treatment, old-school European style. No detail is missed. Then we get to the food. It's really pretty good, all told. Here's where the attention to details goes sideways. The bread rolls felt as if they had been sitting since yesterday. The beans, although delicious, had sat around on the plate long enough to be room temperature and develop a crust. The totopos stuck in the beans were in the beans long enough to get soggy. The rice served alongside the moles was barely above room temperature and a bit dried out. All the food, in general, needed to arrive from the kitchen much warmer. Essentially, anything that could be made ahead of time was, and then left sitting out. It doesn't fit and I don't get it.

So you have to take the elevator up once you get upstairs to the course amazing and meet the standard of every Mexican restaurant very sleek, clean, modern beautiful. The waiter that had us was a bit presumptuous, and his joke of guessing who could speak Spanish, and pointing out that I could not when I could. But I allowed him to make the comments and have the conversation because I like listening he took upon himself to tell me what type of drink I would like, and when I went to enter, Jack walked off to make it. So when he brought it back, I kindly told him in Spanish that I don't like drinks with pulp. the lobster risotto is underwhelming. It looks very great and is plated very well with the taste is not there for me. The tacos were amazing and the drink that I photographed was the one I ordered. The drink was good, everyone enjoyed their food. Minus the bland risotto

( FYI: if you choose to sit on the side walk seating area be aware they'll be a lot of people walking thru tables to ask if you want to buy everything under the sun) if you want a quite meal - go inside. We wanted to see the scenery so we opted for the roof. It was a beautiful sunny day! They have a menu already prepared. So, it's either their buffet or a few different options off the menu. They do bring complimentary bread My BF ordered chilaquiles- he loved the way the mole came out. I ordered- BLT w/fries Beverages- coffee & orange juice Our food came out very nicely and in a timely manner. It was great pricing for the amount of food, scenery and staff.
