Some of the teachers here are good and trying to do something but others are ignoring the problem. The principal and vice principals say they'll look into it but never do anything or think you're the problem. Kids get harassed and sexually harassed here In front of teachers or in private. And the food is disgusting. The food here is either really dry or slimy. Certain teachers here are really rude to some students that don't do anything. Me and my friend group are being harassed by a couple kids here and me and my friend have a no contact order on them but they continue to harass us and the school isn't doing anything.

Many teachers and staff members, however, ignore discrimination, bullying, unfit teachers, 504 plans, and IEPs. I had a math teacher that cried every time her students failed a test and another one that would scream and throw things. White River also has a tendency to kick out kids that aren't on track to graduate in order to keep the school's high graduation rate.

Now, I gave it four stars because the lady in the front office, is awful. Every interaction I have had with Ms Gay Wright has been ridiculous. She is not friendly. She is not helpful and she is extremely condescending. She should NOT be the first point of contact. If you need something that office is the last place you want to go to get assistance! I am a grandmother now and have two grandsons who attended White River this year (2013-2014). I have spent about six hours a week volunteering at the elementary school they attend. I am so sorry to see the shape the schools are in. They have administrators who don't know what they are doing. I think the school district is a job hiring program for the superintendent's friends. They get hired in jobs that pay big bucks and they don't know what they are doing. The teachers are teaching to the lowest level in the class, per common core. The classes are crowed. The spending in the district is spent on administration not hiring more teachers to reduce the class size. So sad to see my tax dollars spent this way. My grandsons are going to be home schooled next year.
