Even though the water heater is only 2 years old, Frank claimed that he replaced the two elements (he never showed me any evidence that he had in fact replaced them). However, even before he had left the premise, the water heater was again tripping the breaker. Obviously, the problem wasn't being caused by the "bad elements" in the water heater. Frank still charged us $210. He claimed that the elements were still bad, even thought the cause of the short was somewhere else. Frank is a very personable guy. However, I found his work ethics quite questionable.

On a very negative note - 5 days later same problem that was "fixed" broke again. Called back and was returned call 2 days later, but I had reached a different plumber who came and fixed the problem saying that whoever did the first fix did not know what they were doing. Cost to fix was minimal and when I told him what I paid first time he said I was very overcharged.

They let me know what the were doing the whole time. Only one teensy concern--when unclogging, there was a little bit of an explosion of fecal matter in my basement. They provided no clean up. But I was happy the problem was resolved.

The plumber explained what he was going to do and then cleared the drain of hair and who knows what and the problem was fixed. Took a good hour to clean and he was on his way. I was scheduled for 08/12 when I called to at 3:30 see when the tech would be here I was tolled 4:00. He showed at 5:00 pm. He checked the issue he said they would call at 9:00 am and schedule the fix. No call at 9:15. I called and was told that I was on the schedule for that day. At this point I cancelled the job. They had replaced the pump and cleaned the system less than 15 months ago. I'm done with Roto-Rooter. My Survey to Roto-Rooter.com bounced, go figure.

Incredible service with a talented master plumber!…read more It was Easter weekend and our kitchen sink started leaking everywhere. We have a home in Narrowsburg NY and I had remember the Roto Rooter tune and figured I would give them a call. A master plumber, John Pallis, came early the next morning. He was knowledgeable, efficient and super respectful of our floors and carpet. We had a houseful for Easter and he was a lifesaver.
