We were both so crazy about the experience - Kelly's skill, her demeanor, her cool studio and cooler personality - that when we left we wanted to find an excuse to meet up with her again. And the photos were better than we'd even hoped. Fun, cool, romantic, beautiful, all we could ask. Then, a couple of months later, we found ourselves talking with our L.A. wedding planner about wedding photos. She shared a number of very good photographers with us, but none struck us in as wonderful a way as Kelly had, and their prices were far higher. Just on the off chance, our planner phoned Kelly and found that we could fly her to L.A., put her up, give her a "second shooter," and she'd still come in at a lower cost than the ones out here. So we hired her again. And at the wedding and reception, she was every bit as wonderful as she had been in her studio - great for everyone to work with (including the videographers), delightful company... and the final results were just stunning. We urge everyone to find and choose a photographer whose portfolio matches your style and energy. But if you're lucky enough to find that Kelly does, we can't recommend Elements highly enough. I was looking for a meaningful gift, something she could fit in her suitcase... One day I stumbled upon Bella Photography's pictures on their Facebook page. I couldn't be happier with my decision to book a photography session with Bella Photography. In two days (!), I received 15 pictures in a Dropbox of our photography session. They are GORGEOUS. I mean, they look like pictures I would pin on Pinterest. But I'm in them! If you think the prices are astronomical, think again. Pricing information is on their website. It is an incredible deal - I paid $100 for one hour session at a gorgeous Kansas City location. I seriously paid more for pictures at Target that were not close to the quality of these pictures. The booking was a simple process. Lindsey Simoes answered the email back right away with more information and we quickly agreed on location, day, and time. I paid through PayPal to reserve the date. She stayed in touch days before the session and answered all my questions. At the day of the session, she and her husband Fabio were timely waiting for us with their beautiful two kids, who also had cameras (too cute!). It truly is a family business! They were extra patient with my Mom and my 3 year old son. Instead of frustration with a toddler that followed no directions, they played with him and took super cute candid pictures. The memories these photographs bring now will be everlasting. My mom is thrilled and sharing them like there is no tomorrow on her Facebook page among her friends. My gift this Mother's Day will be remembered throughout the years. To tell the truth, these pictures ended up being the best Mother's Day gift for myself too.
