EXTREMELY AWFUL HOSPITAL. I was assaulted and violated during my echo and tilt table. I left there…read morewith several bruises all over my breasts. When I stated I was uncomfortable and in SEVERE PAIN I was told to "just be quiet, I am almost finished" the nurses leaned all over my body during the procedures. The procedures in general felt 'rushed' as if the nurses did not want to be there and do their job. I felt extremely uncomfortable and violated, I was not reassured once, I was not informed about the process, I felt as if I was being treated like a criminal in a place that is supposed to show you the most care and comfort. There were at LEAST, 8 different nurses in a room with you, one of them will be playing on their phone while the other is playing around on her Apple Watch, while the other is being trained. We are the practice dummies. These nurses are right out of high school and have absolutely no idea what is going on around them. I would never, EVER recommend anybody to this hospital! I am traumatized, I will never be returning. I will need therapy after my experience at this Ephrata hospital. Please, if you care about your health and body, do not go here, do not send your children here.

I just had surgery and it went well and everyone was kind and efficient. Thank you Mrs. Martine PA at Cocalico Wellspan for recommending Dr. Sholtis

If I could give a negitive number, I would! This place is horrible as far as the " doctors" (if…read morethat's what you want to call them). I saw a number of different doctors in the practice and all of them weren't that nice, had an ego so huge, didn't listen to you or was flat out rude. I had a hysterectomy at 28 (now 33) and it was a horror story! I went home feeling like normal after a surgery, 3 days later I was so very sick running a very high temperature, in so much pain, couldn't urinate. Called the doctor who did the surgery and he said just to take Tylenol for the fever (which was 103.2) and see how that does. I said I'll go to the ER, that's not necessary you just had surgery. It's normal to have pain and a bit of a fever. I insisted on a stat ultrasound, since I couldn't walk! Turned out I had a big pelvic abscess and could have died if it ruptured!! Got admitted into the hospital same day (turned into an 11 day stay) and they took me back for surgery to drain it. The idiotic doctor DIDN'T drain it properly in the OR. The nurse came in to give me my pain meds, though I felt extra funky. I said did you give me more? Yes your going for an ultrasound, thought okay that's weird. Now this will stick in my brain forever!!!! That ultrasound turned into him mannually draining it in the ultrasound room, when I kept screaming and said stop doing this stop. He wouldn't stop at all, said needs to be done. I said its called an OR, "We alreafy had you there and can't go again". The ultrasound tech was tearing up and kept saying I'm so sorry. I finally went home (a lot more to the stay at tge hospital I could say) with two oral antibiotics and a picc line, the picc line came out in 5 days because of infection and blood clot! I had a check up, I was clearly shivering and sweating in front of the doctor that assisted the doctor who did my surgery. The nurse said, "we should take her temperature", "NO we don't need to" she said! I was telling her how much pain I was in, she called it "phantom pains". I got sick of their poor lack of bedside manor and that their degree might have came from a cracker Jack box. I couldn't take how I was feeling any longer and my gut told me something is wrong. I looked for a pelvic surgeon who was good and specializes in only pelvic sugery. I found one, called to make am appointment. They asked what I'm being seen for and I told them a bit. Made an appointment for 3 weeks out (This surgeon is only in the office 2 days a week and doing surgery the rest. Very hard to get an appointment and a surgery with him. People came from all over to have surgery by him) and the same day they called me back saying, " We spoke to the doctor about your case and he'd like you in asap." Which I was in the office the next day. Three days after that I was in surgery, which a 45 minute estimated time. Turned into 2 hours, it was that bad in there. I ended up having 4 more surgeries with him to correct what the Butcher Boy did to me. Though I'll never be the same, I have chronic pain everyday, my intestines don't work properly, my husband's and my life behind doors is ruined because of this. There's nothing more they can do for me, because of the risk of messing everything up worse. IF YOU VALUE YOUR BODY AND LIFE, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!
