One thumb nail broke and the polish overall faded from my original set but for the value and service you get, I'm going to continue to come here :-) Maggie did my Gel-X fill today and although Su did my original set, both these ladies were lovely and pleasant. However, this time the gel polish application wasn't perfect. Not painted evenly/spots were missed (check photos) but I'm alright with it because I didn't notice until I got home. FYI a Fill for Gel-X is the same price as a new set but I didn't have as much time today so I opted the Fill. read more

Sorry to say that during a manicure, my index finger got knicked. Even sorrier that it resulted in a visit to the walk-in clinic as a bubble and an infection became apparent. They look up at whoever walks in the door. Distracted or bored. A mishap waiting to happen. read more

Everyone's always friendly. But it seems like there are nail techs that don't really pay attention to detail. I came in for a chrome, powder manicure. The nail tech did a poor job on cleaning my cuticles (clean cuticles are very important to me). I told her to fix it twice, to which after I was still unhappy with it. Then I asked for almond shaped nail, but she said my nails are too short for it and that coffin would be better. Coffin nail shape was not what I got. None of my nails matched in shape and some were crooked. The only thing I liked was the color that I chose: a red chrome (they also tried telling me there was no such thing as red chrome until I pulled out a photo to show them). Not even three days later, the chrome chipped off one nail and now I'm missing chrome on one nail. Not happy, don't think I'll return. read more

Salon is very clean very nice people were friendly.. however, the person I had today for pedicure, needs to go back and learn how to do it.. I paid for a vitamin E lavender pedicure for $29 and didn't get any of of the services in it..I did not even get a hot towel on my legs did not even get my legs massaged. Did not even get cream on my feet. about massage lavender I didn't get any of it and she was done so quickly. I doubt that I will be returning even the person I was with had a gel manicure, which was not good.. I have been coming to Epic for YEARS. I was skeptical when the new owner John took over- but it has been a great experience. I always saw Ankila. She is no longer here unfortunately. Cindy is an absolute disaster, this was my third time giving her a try- I feel bad saying "no" to the person who comes to get you for your appointment. When John is not here on Tuesdays this place is a nightmare and workers act different- unfortunately I am off Tuesdays. I'm a frequent customer at Epic Nails as it's not far from my home. The staff is very friendly and accommodating except for Cindy. The last 2 times I visited I was unlucky enough to get Cindy as my nail tech. I had an appointment for a manicure and pedicure, but somehow it wound up costing me $70. I had a gel polish on my nails so had to soak those off for $5 which I expected to pay. However Cindy was so pushy and told me I needed all this extra stuff. She was relentless so I gave in thinking I'd treat myself for some pampering. I wish I could say it was worth the $20 extra it ended up costing me, but I was very disappointed. Never again! Had my first experience at Epic in Hampton Bays today. There were Pros and Cons to this. PROS: the shop is bright, well-ventilated and has plenty of color choices. It is very clean! CONS: Following old COVID rules of requiring mask for entrance and everyone felt like they were rushing around. It was not conducive to relaxation. I had an appt and had to wait 15 mins which is it an issue until someone with a later appt got seated right away. Susen did my pedicure. Nice person but was too rough and rushed around. I could have used a little extra time in my heels and when I told her I didn't want to pay an up charge of $10, she just skipped them. I got a spa pedicure which included a 10 min leg massage...she was completely done in under 40 mins. Next to me was Eva; she was much slower on her customer and deliberate in her actions. I would like to come back again and give it another shot with an appt with Eva. Hopefully, by that time, they will have relaxed the mask requirement as well. Hard enough to breathe in nail salons without the extra difficulty of feeling suffocated unnecessarily. read more

By far the best nail salon in the Hamptons! I got my nails done here one and I will never go to another salon. I had Dora, the nail tech do a Powder Ombrè on my nails (pictured below) and she took her time to make sure that each and every nail looked amazing. I wish I could give this place more stars. The last FIVE times I have been here, I have had an appointment and they make me wait almost 30 minutes or more every time. Last week I had an appointment for 12pm and I got up and left at 12:30 and went somewhere else. I even watched a woman come in who said she had an appointment, and the owner told her "they were too busy and to come back later". My mother used to own a hair salon, so I am familiar with how appointments work. Even if you make an appointment, your allotted person will proceed to take a walk in 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. The times that I did stay, my nails did turn out good but I will not be returning. read more

I'M SHOCKED ! I never saw a filthier nail salon. They directed me to a table where there were nail cuttings on the table and on the chair and pieces of what looked like skin. I told her to wipe it down. Then I had to put my arms up on this thing covered with packing tape - no towel. She soaked my hand in a cloudy dish of water with 3 plain glass marbles. Hello? special effect? The girl's cuticle nips were questionable and her apron dirty, but after she did a rough job she put them back in a dirty cover for the next person. She then slammed my nails a few times with a 50 grade sandpaper buffer. No reason for that. At this point I had enough and was concerned about getting some infection . I paid, left and disinfected my hands in the car. Note: Nail salons have some customers with infections and fungus. Instruments have to be sterilized after each use ! It's the NY State law. Hygiene in primary. This place would be shut down if inspected. read more

This place used to be good when they first opened and I was really happy with them but my couple past experiences have not been great. I went there once and they massaged my neck so weird and hard that I had neck pain for the next 3 days. I decided to give them another try and had designated a $10 tip for the $28 mani/pedi service - the lady apparently did not think that was enough and asked me "oh only $10 for both" - I think this is super rude and you are not required to give a tip!! I am paying for my services and I give you the tip I believe you deserve. She did such a horrible job on my nails on top of it, they all cracked in 2 days! they must be using really old nail polish. They have new owners and things have improved immensely. Mani/pedi was great everyone was very friendly, but best of all they are one of the few nail salons in town following CDC guidelines for COVID; all customers hand sanitize upon arrival, your temperature is checked, they have dividers at all stations. The owner sanitizes chairs etc immediately after a customer leaves. Great work and thank you Epic Nails for doing everything to keep your customers safe. read more

EPIC NAILS HAMPTON BAYs : This was the absolute worst massage I have ever received !. If you like laying on an operating table, with florescence lighting on you . This place is for you . $60 + tip and I was being rolled like dough on a piece of paper ( literally) . The poking and pinching made the hour feel like forever . I have had MANY massages , and never seen this . as she did my legs with no oil pulling every hair off my legs was torture. She told me I had to leave my shorts on ??? On a full body massage really ?? She Never did my feet .... She was all over the place from one thing to the next , Horrible to say the least . No towel ??? At all ! I had to take everything out of my pockets , and nowhere to put anything . Please look at the pictures I have included . Is this sanitary?
