I solicited quotes from two companies to paint a 2-story great room and entry way. Epic had an edge over the other company as we had quite a bit of drywall repairs which Eric's team was able to handle. They showed up every day at 7:00 and went straight to work. The great room had Venetian plaster applied 25 years ago. They had to sand all the walls to get them smooth. Their attention to detail preparing the walls, fixing drywall damage on walls and ceiling was impressive. They covered and protected all areas that would be at risk and sealed off rooms to contain any dust. We expected more dust, but they use vacuum systems with HEPA filters which minimized the dust. Finally applying the primer and paint was clean and neat. They left the work area clean every day. I highly recommend Epic Painting. We will have them back this summer for other projects. read more

The short story: A professional and attentive team and a fabulous finished product. The long story: From our initial interaction with this company to the final reveal, our experience with Epic Painting was, well, *EPIC*! The business owner, Eric, walked our property with us in late fall and made a number of suggestions. The many excellent reviews and his reasonable quote (we collected three) inspired confidence, as did his use of Sherwin-Williams products, with which we had the interior painted when we purchased this house. In the time between acceptance of the quote and start of project, Yesenia fielded our many, many questions via text and telephone with kindness and patience and kept us apprised of the schedule for each task. (She also encouraged us to take advantage of the free color consultation.) The team Eric deployed to work on the project were focused and professional. (A special shout-out to Edgar and Benito!) We appreciated each painter's attention to detail, as well as the fact that they left the site tidy each evening and tried to work around our many house-hugging bushes and plants. We did run into an interesting situation on the penultimate day of the schedule: Following extreme drought conditions, this area was lashed by thunderstorms. So today we learned a new phrase, surfactant leaching, which may resolve without further action. Eric and his team have assuaged our concerns; we are hopeful that all will be well. For reference, this was primarily an exterior project. We had all of the wood trim painted, as well as the house's original (i.e., 1973) aluminum siding. The interior of our three-season room received a face-lift, as did exterior doors, light fixtures, vents, etc. The work included power washing, as well as caulking and minor repairs, even those we didn't realize we needed (e.g., reaffixing a vent and downspout). Months ago, I was in search of an exterior painter for a major renovation of our home. It's a well-known home in our community so nothing less than a superior job would be acceptable. I Googled painters in my area and Epic popped up among many others. I called them first because they had a perfect 5-star rating--not from one or two customers which always looks suspicious, but from more than 40! This was a guy I wanted to meet. Eric was on the spot soon after I called. I was immediately taken by his sincerity, knowledge of his business, give-and-take attitude, and friendliness. I signed him on soon after without getting a second bid for three reasons: he made me feel confident in his ability, he bid the job only slightly higher than the price I had in mind that I thought the job was worth, and I sensed he'd be a delight to work with. What I didn't know at the time was that he would be bringing to the job six additional guys who were all delightful to work with. Eric and his crew were first rate in ever way. Communication was easy with all of them; they worked hard, clearly wanting to do their best to please; showed professionalism and pride in their work; and did everything that was asked of them. They went out of their way to make suggestions and point out problems, such as underlying pulpy wood needing to be replaced and factory-primed wood with water stains requiring re-priming. They had my best interests at heart at every step along the way. It was clear after the first of 4 weeks why they had racked up so many 5-star reviews. I'd eagerly use Eric and his team again for both interior and exterior work. With pleasure, I recommend them to you as well. I have had 5 painting companies come to look at my kitchen painting project. 5 companies. I had been blown off by all of them, taken off work, missed pay... I came across Epic Painting and Eric arrived the same day I asked for an estimate. He evaluated my project and gave me an estimate on the spot. I was trying my best to pick out a color for my kitchen and just couldn't get it right. Eric asked me if I would mind a color suggestion after I showed him the tile and counter samples and explained that everything I picked out on my own ended up having extreme yellow or purple undertones to it. He magically produced the color I had been imagining in my mind. We had talked about him coming out the next day or maybe that Friday.
