Today was my third visit to this hair salon, and it was absolutely terrible. My first two visits were amazing,all I got then was a simple wash and blowout.but This time, I wanted a balayage, which I knew would cost between $245 and $275. I was fine with that and even planned to tip generously, expecting the total to be around $375 since I know balayage can take 2-3 hours of work. However, when I sat down, they told me the product they'd be using would cost $50 per ounce, and the total could be $375 or more, without a clear final price. My hair is very short, shoulder-length, and thin, so I felt they were trying to overcharge me. I was so disappointed and upset that I decided to leave, feeling like they were trying to rip me off right in front of my face. I am only adding a star because when I was trying to post, it said at a star for review. It wouldn't let me post without adding a star, because I give zero. read more

I was looking for a new nail salon and heard good things about Epika. I booked nail and pedicure services and was excited to get pampered. Sadly, I wool up at 5am on the day of the appointment coughing and a severe sore throat. I had 2 choices, cancel last minute and rebook for the next week or keep the appointment and risk getting staff/clients sick. I chose the former. For that I was charged a $64.50 cancellation fee. I have documentation that I was at the doctor on appointment day and the treatment plan. A phone call would have shed light on the situation. A cancellation fee with no exceptions is extreme and demonstrates to me that money is more important than the client. I have cancelled the appointments that I rebooked, Epika has gotten all of the money they're getting from me. read more

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had in a so called upscale salon. I will stay with my box color as you say. Your disrespect shows. I will stay with Hair Cuttery where they are respectful and not spoiled intitled brats. Cancellation fee that all of a sudden was covenant to mention after a one star review. I suggest making an appointment, but walk ins are welcomed. Definitely went above my expectations. Place is very clean and chic. Totally loved my experience. I thought that I had found a new home in this salon and then when I went to pay I was so disappointed. I had partial highlights for long hair and the olaplex treatment. My bill was $200. I asked for them to break it down and she told me that since the new year they changed their prices and it now costs $30 to blow dry your hair. Seriously?! This was never mentioned to me at any point until I asked when I was paying. It's not like I asked for a blowout and style. The stylists are good, just ask about what you are being charged ahead of time. read more

Recently traveled from Miami for a wedding and got my hair and makeup done at Epika salon. The hair stylist, Lizka, and makeup artist, Marina were absolutely amazing. Lizka took my vision and made it her own to make sure my updo would last for hours, despite the rainy weather. Marina was SO nice and so talented. My makeup & lashes lasted over 6hours without any smears. She was so sweet! The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because we were given different prices while booking our appts over the phone than when we went to pay. It wasn't a big difference but something higher than we expected. Great customer service otherwise! read more
