Came here to hear some music and have a cocktail. The venue is really nice. It has plenty of different rooms with different vibes. I really like the outside patio which was two levels. It didn't feel like you were in the city. This location has metered parking nearby and also a parking lot not to far. This venue would be nice for wedding or a performance. Look forward to coming back here.

Food: 9/10 Service: 9/10 Ambiance: 10/10 PRO TIP: Come between 5-7 PM to take advantage of their AMAZING golden hour specials. We got 2-for-1 wings that were DIVINE. I'm so glad my partner and I stumbled across this place during our annual trip to Chicago! The venue is stunning, with a rich, wooden interior and an large outdoor patio. The food is surprisingly delicious! The wings were juicy, flavorful and filling. But the best part? The FREE music! We were fortunate to visit during Brother Jacob's blues performance, and we had a grand time. This little gem made our date day so special!

This place is absolutely an incredible space. A surprise at each turn and at the other side of each door. They did a fantastic job at keeping the mystery and beauty of this old church as they transformed it into a multi-living-artistic space. Beautiful stained glass windows, woodwork, old pipe organ, and display of art work by local artists. Oh... and there are shows, music, and very expensive cocktails. Just STUPENDOUS!

Friends invited me to a jazz/blues session at Epiphany. I had not been there before. I found it a top rate place. Once one negotiates the expressway chaos, the location is great. It's fairly large, but it's kept an eye on intimacy. Acoustics? An old church structure (thoroughly rehabbed) with very solid sound. Speakers are properly set. The group, The Last Word Quintet, included a stellar pianist. Epiphany had a baby grand that greatly supported the other instrumentalists. Just plainly a gem.

From the outside, you'll never guess what awaits you inside, now that Ephiphany Church is Epiphany Center for the Arts! It's beautiful inside, rustic, a great place to see music performances, has a pristine one-room art gallery, and has a lounge bar at ground floor. Came back to Chicago to see In the Realm of the Senses multisensory music performance, with visuals, a "scent" for the night- and it was a fundraiser for Ukraine, and nicely done. How nice that the musician was Chinese American, the visual artist Russian American, and the piano player Ukrainian- truly a testament that the peoples can work together in harmony (pun) when world leaders cannot. Would 100% come here again for any reason!

My husband and I attended "Golden Hour" here which is held from 5-8 Wednesday-Saturday evenings through the summer. Tonight the Denise La Grassa Quartet was performing outside. We sat on the patio and shared chicken wings and a bottle of wine from the bar inside. Our bartender was very helpful and told us about all of the specials. There are art galleries inside and other events that they host. The patio was lovely and comfortable. I love this place! Can't wait to come back.

Went to for Golden hour and a show over the weekend. This place is beautiful, an old church changed into an event space. The stained glass windows are stunning. Golden hour was nice and low key. There was a DJ playing, you could walk around and look at the artwork. The food was the only thing that didn't quite hit the spot. The hummus came with some stale hard pita. Everything else was all fried food. I can't wait to go back for another show or even perhaps swing dancing!

    Breathtaking architecture!

GORGEOUS site for a gala!!! Oh my gosh!! I attended the Friends of the Children-Chicago annual gala last night and this space was perfect!!! Two floors, one for cocktails in a cool lower level and then we all moved upstairs to the stunning main hall! Acoustics were ideal. The stage made for awesome speeches and music presentation. Space was accommodating for bar, food, loads of tables. They even provided valet parking! Wow.

    Events space in the basement.

I'm so glad that I happened upon this place because it's one of the best late night live music spots that you can come across. I'm not sure if there was an established band that was on stage beforehand, but while I was there, it seemed like there were a lot of local acts and just super talented folks who were there jamming on stage. I loved every minute of it. There's a small bar there which I could imagine could get easily packed and overrun during a busy night but overall the drinks were fine. They do have seating areas, low chairs like the speakeasy vibe to enjoy the entertainment, but they also have a lot of space to dance and stand if you need to. I'll be back for sure, but you should also check it out.

I arrived a little after 9 and was greeted with no line. Since I didn't have a reservation, I paid a $10 cover. Walking downstairs, I was immediately impressed with the British décor, lots of IG-worthy spots. Because it was still early, I was able to head straight to the bar for a drink. The bartender mentioned the band would start at 9:30 and that things usually pick up around 10. He also let me know the couches were open seating until reserved groups arrived. The band was fantastic and had people dancing not long after they started. By 11, the place was standing room only. I tapped out around 1 and walked past a long line waiting to get in. I'm happy I trusted ChatGPT's suggestion. The Bassment delivered a fun night with great music, drinks, and energy. I'll definitely visit again.

This is a small, intimate avenue in Chicago that hosts concerts, opera, and plays. There really isn't a bad seat in the venue! We were able to snag one of the larger opera boxes, which I highly recommend, especially if you're going with friends. Ours was on the left side and perfectly angled toward the stage, so we were incredibly close. The box seats up to six people and they even provide water for you, which was a nice touch. The venue also has a bar area and a balcony. For this show, the balcony was general admission. There are four large balcony boxes and two smaller two-person boxes, which would be super cute for a date or going with a friend. The staff were extremely friendly, and parking was surprisingly easy! We found street parking within about five minutes. They do serve food and drinks, though we didn't get any this time. Overall, the show was intimate, fun, and such a great experience. If I come back for another concert at Thalia Hall, I'll definitely try to get an opera box again.

I walked into the bar area and was trying to grab a drink and it was pretty crowded. Since I don't really drink anymore, a friend bought me a Matcha soda and two of the Monday night specials for three dollars each Overall, the place seemed relatively divey and a little bit dark. I don't really think of this venue somewhere you would take a first date. And the decor was a lot of sharpie doodles in the bathrooms as well as stickers galore. It was a really fun intimate stage. As the first band started, it only got more packed-but the air conditioning was well dispersed and I never overheated. I thought the acoustics were OK in the room, but the bands themselves are relatively loud and their pronunciation was a little difficult to hear the lyrics. I hadn't really heard of the bands that were playing, but when I left around 10:15pm there was a massive line-I think there were still two more bands that were going to play and I'm glad I left when I did!

I got the pepperoni basil slice and my friend got the potato pesto slice. Both were less than mediocre. They weren't fresh; cheese was congealed. The potato itself wasn't cooked enough, the crust was partly oily and soggy. I guess for the cheap price of cheap ingredients it's ok, but I do not recommend. Also, live music isn't supposed to start until 9pm, but the band loudly and consistently starts practicing at 630-7pm and it's so damn loud you can't have a conversation. The band tonight was also just horrible. Not toned and had a lot of very loud squeaky sounds. We didn't stay long after the noise started, but can't imagine it got too much better.
