Really happy to have found this spot for live music on a Saturday night. We arrived right around 8, when doors open. Musics starts at 930ish so it's a bit of a wait if you get there that early, but potentially worth it to snag a lounge/table until reservations show up. Reservations are pricey, but with a group would be super fun and worth it. Workout having reservations, we gave up our seats and headed to the front to hang around the bar near the stage. Really awesome staff, and a coat check if you need it. The bar tenders were friendly and attentive. The music was fabulous. Fun crowd. The drink list was super fun with pop star nmes, the Taylor Swift was the fav, and not just bc I am a Swiftie. The bathtub drink is cute, get one for the photo and move on. Came here for summer Thursdays. We were a little confused because the live music didn't come on for almost an hour after start time. We were also confused if we could sit at any of the tables. It's very dark and moody. I wish they had more seating. The crowd was pretty chill. I'd imagine it's busier on weekends, but I don't think I'd pay the cover charge for the experience. We had different expectations when we came here. I was thinking tables and chairs and more of laid back vibes but it was more like club vibes and yeah I wasn't really feeling it. I had open sandals on and twice I seen glass break/broken on the ground. I also had some white wine and it was definitely cheap, first taste it made my stomach turn. Lots of people everywhere which was fine but again was thinking like a live jazz or R&B music vibe and it was the opposite although they had a few songs I enjoyed singing too. My friend had just changed out of his nice shoes after a wedding and they wouldn't let him in with his flip flops - but he had on khaki pants and a button up dress shirt. I had on a long formal dress and my husband had on a suit and tie. They wouldn't let us in. Told us "people cut their feet" with flip flops. We were able to get drinks without a problem or a wait. I had a Boulevardier and my friends had some of their specialty cocktails. All were delicious and we'll-balanced, though pretty pricey at $19 a piece. The band started soon after, they were great! The vocalists were incredible. Throughout the night, the space became saturated with people, making it near impossible to get to the bathroom or bar. Had no expectations for this bar since I've never been here before but the moment you walk past security, you go through a speakeasy door which transports you to one of the coolest live music bars in Chicago. Every single neon sign, couch, decoration is on pointe and so retro yet classy. The ambiance is to die for and it was packed and bopping because the vibe live music was killing it with Rihanna's Umbrella. Went to the bar and was surprised to notice that the bartenders were still serving signature cocktails despite being super busy. We got the BATHTUB & the BRUNO MARS. The Bathtub was the cutest cocktail I've seen and had a little rubber duck floating on the whipped cream. The drink itself tasted like a fruity coffee drink which is alright, but tasted better when you mix it with the whipped cream. The Bruno Mars was absolutely HANDS DOWN my favorite drink of the two. It was a milk punch and sweet yet balanced. I will most likely be constantly ordering this drink again and again. We had so much fun dancing to the music and I even had the chance to dance on stage with the singers because they were looking for volunteers in the crowd. They had a cover charge of $10. The band did a great job, but since it was a weekday night, the place did not have a great vibe. We tried the Bathtub cocktail due to the hype about it. Came here on a recent Saturday night. My guy friend made all the arrangements but we decided to get bottle service so we could have our own section. The staff all wore masks and social distanced. Our server was super sweet but too slow for us so we took over for the most part but it was our first time out in over a year so nothing could have taken away from the night. The band was amazing. They played a variety of music, the bass player was doing his own thing -amazing and singers had amazing voices and did a great job performing and keeping the audience hyped.
