Just letting you all know...be EARLY or exactly ON TIME here if you expect to be seen. I drove 50 minutes for my appointment today and arrived 12-15 minutes late because I had to finish something at work in order to come there... Well, sadly I was turned away and was told I had to reschedule. This was my first initial appointment so it was so disappointing to not be seen. It's unfortunate that patients go sit in waiting rooms 30-45 mins patiently waiting to be seen, then wait another 10-20 mins in a back room waiting for the Dr. but are not giving any consideration if we are running behind. Life needs considerations. This must be an awesome prosperous establishment since they are able to just turn people away. I will never know. read more

I had a surgical procedure done at this office on Wednesday at 10am. I had a cyst excised from my scalp. First they gave me localized anesthetic numbing injections on my scalp, then they cut it out, then they had to cauterize the bleeders, suture up the hole in my scalp with dissolving internal sutures and suture the final incision. Lots of unexpected trauma to the area on my head. I was told that if I had any questions or concerns post op, send a message to the practice via "patient portal". I had sent a message on the patient portal Wednesday afternoon around 1pm stating that I was in a lot of pain after the numbing injections wore off and asked if they could prescribe me something for the pain or if they had any other recommendations. I did not hear anything the rest of the day. Today, I sent another message via patient portal around 9am. I STILL have not heard anything from them, so I called the office at 2:30pm and couldn't get thru to anyone, so I left a voicemail. I am 48 hours post op and have been in a lot of pain. For them to let a patient go unanswered for 30 hours post op with concerns and questions is UNACCEPTABLE. It's 5/22 at 3:00pm-- I am still experiencing pain and have not heard from the office. This is unacceptable post op patient care. I will not be returning and will not be recommending them. UPDATE; It's 5/26- 4 1/2 (memorial day excluded) days since I've contacted the office with my concerns regarding the surgical procedure I had done by them. I STILL have not heard ANYTHING from them. This is beyond diabolical behavior from a medical office that performed surgery on a patient that has reached out EVERY DAY with medical concerns. I'm in utter disbelief. read more

Epiphany Dermatology overcharged for having simple spots frozen off with nitrogen. An example - for 7 spots frozen off my face and back, they charged the insurance company $339.42 (my portion was $286.02), an area on my forehead $202.95 (my portion $45.19 and another spot on my back $38.58 (my portion $33.26). My total $364.47 ! I called them, went in person, talked to the manager, and contacted United Healthcare (they are disputing the charges). I DO NOT recommend them. Fayette Area Dermatology and Marietta Dermatology are a lot better and have fair pricing. read more

My PA was very thorough and competent. Additionally, she was gracious and had a great sense of humor - which I personally appreciate.

This business accepts appointments on their website and then cancels them via text message. It has happened multiple times. After speaking with them, they said that the website is an appointment request and not an appointment. No where on the website does it say the word "request". How about you honor your appointments or call your patients/reschedule the appointment like every professional medical office on the planet. read more

My husband and I won't be back. Met with PA for all of 10 min each. Both of us had a couple of spots that we wanted to see if anything could be done for. She offered to do the air can of liquid nitro to freeze off, said she could do that or prescribe an ointment but made it seem like nitro was better and didn't mention the difference in cost being astronomical.... $320 later neither one of our spots have been healed at all and I'm scared to go back after being charged this much for literally a spray of liquid nitrogen. Before doing this she should have been very clear on the price gap as this was SHOCKING to me that it was brought up. Reading thru reviews, this seems to be a common occurrence at this practice. read more

Needed a new dermatologist, & Dr Joseph Dyer is thorough, gave the in-depth exam & articulate explanations we were looking for. To be 'transparent,' we first ran his CV by a trusted, critical, nerdy-smart 3rd-year Resident & got a strong thumbs-up, which the Dr's exam & direct approach confirmed. I don't understand why you need to 'guess' when you might need to see a doctor to get an appointment. Called and I couldn't get an appointment with the doctor for 2 months, but could see a PA in a week. So i went to the appointment, the PA sat in a chair a few feet away from me, never stood up to look at my skin to determine anything and gave me a refill of the gel I needed. Billed Medicare $385. I was with the PA maybe 5-7 minutes. This is out of control. I will look for another dermatologist, but I have a gut feeling this is standard health care today. Horrible experience for years with Dr Ling. I would not recommend ! He is very controlling, condescending , and rude. I formally complained after several years of poor care , switched to another provider different location within the same practice. Dr Ling placed a retaliatory "patient contract " in my chart that was never presented in any method , or signed when he found out I had complained and switched to another physician. I received a copy yesterday (3 years later)after viewing for the first time, confirming that I did NOT EVER RECEIVE OR SIGN ! It is absolutely appalling how he dictated to his patients with contracts that they are not made aware of that affected care for years. read more

I had an appointment at Epiphany Dermatology with Dr. Buckthal for my yearly skin check. Several weeks later I received a bill for a"cosmetic Consult" for $100. in addition to my bill for my skin check. During my exam I asked her what to use for sunscreen and a question about botox. It couldn't have taken more than a couple minutes of her time to answer my questions. Charging an extra $100. is ridiculous! If you visit this office beware!!! read more

The dermatologists themselves are great. The problem is at the front desk and the way they do their billing. One office visit has turned into eight months of billing issues and incorrect invoices. My account balance is currently zero but they turned over a small amount to collections. I never saw an invoice for that charge. Their communication is absolutely horrible and you get different answers from different people if you ask questions about charges. Is there a setup fee for new customers or not? The invoice says to call a third party with questions but that help desk just says to call the local office. It's astounding what I've been doing to try to resolve the billing. I will never go back here. They need to get their house in order. read more

I had some lipomas removed. They explained everything and I was in and out in less than a hour. I highly recommend them.

Had a great experience here. This place was recommended to me by a couple trusted medical professional friends and my primary care doctor. Dr Dyer was great...he had good bedside manner, listened well, made good conversation, was thorough in his work, and I was very pleased. read more

We came in as self pay. Out of pocket payment $300. Total time with the provider 10 minutes. Child has ear keloid. I called before the second visit to ask if the visit was necessary because we really need surgery. We were told to come in. Visit occurred only to be told that we need to be referred to a radiologist. In and out in minutes. Even the assistant felt bad by saying do you need prescription refills because NOTHING was really done. Needless to say we will not back to Epiphany. read more

I saw Buchi Neita, PA. She did a full body skin check as I have a history of melanoma. This exam was the most thorough of any dermatologist I've seen, and I've seen many. The ladies at the front desk are exceptionally kind. Highly recommend this office and Mrs. Neita. 4/12/23 was the date I saw her. read more

I had a relatively good experience with the doctor that I saw for my first visit, but I was extremely unhappy with their billing practices so I won't be back. I was billed an egregious amount for an annual skin cancer check (my bill was 3 times what it was at my previous dermatologist). I have called both the billing office (which is centralized and not part of the local practice, as Epiphany is a large corporation) and the provider's office in Peachtree City (who directed me back to the billing office), but no one has been able to assist. The billing office informed me that it was corporate policy to never use the billing code for preventative care even if it's a preventative care visit (which this was). So my insurance covered even less than it would have otherwise covered. My visit was coded as a New Patient 45-59 minute visit (it lasted about 20 minutes max). All in, the practice billed over $800 for an annual skin cancer check and a mole biopsy (there were some insurance network rate adjustments that brought the total down to about $500, but this is still outrageous for this type of visit).
