A few months after our father sold his home, he passed away. Immediately after finding out about…read morehis death, Jay Oddy started to harassing our family for $160 in cleaning fees for his girlfriend, on a home that closed months earlier with all legal documents signed by the seller, buyer and realtors. We were  not involved in the sale of this home AT ALL and should never have been contacted by Jay. Jay said the homeowner also wanted us to hand over $6,500 to cover cleaning costs and was going to sue us if we didn't. He said to our deeply grieving family "I don't know of you got an inheritances but maybe you can throw him (the home owner) A BONE." WHAT!? He then demanded that we tell him who the executor of our father's estate was. When we wouldn't tell him, he somehow hunted down the executor of the estate who does not live in Montana and started harassing them for money to the point that they were afraid  to answer their phone or door. Jay Oddy is an opportunist and attempted to take advantage of our family because we lost a loved one. I hope this helps keep other families and their loved ones from the pain he is capable of causing. I'm shocked that someone like this is allowed to continue to sell homes.

Well, what a GREAT experience I had with Dan Porter from this Bozeman Broker Group. Me and my wife…read moreand all three of my girls drove from California to look at properties up in the great and still free state of Montana. We stayed in Butte, and Dan drove all the way over to meet us at the hotel in the morning, which was a two hour drive for him. That was just the beginning though! Even though all we were going to see was four properties, Montana is a BIG state! Dan spent his ENTIRE day with us, leading us though the backroads and finding the secluded properties that we were interested in. We spent a full eight hours on the road with Dan, and he catered to our every need, which was significant, with my wife and 3 girls, 7, 5, and 3! At the last house I lost my RayBan sunglasses, but I didn't know it until we were driving away, and he was long gone, and he even turned around and came back to make sure I would be able to get in the house to find them. Thankfully we found them in the grass as it was starting to rain, but he came back! I can't imagine a realtor caring more for potential clients or going more out of his way, as Dan did. We loved his cowboy hat too! It was so great to be out of the horrific state of Commiefornia that we still live in. NOT FOR LONG THOUGH! Unfortunately for Dan, the timing and houses weren't a perfect match at that time, but we did end up finding our home in Montana, but elsewhere a bit later. Regardless, Dan is exactly who I'd want helping me were I to be looking again. Thanks Dan! You are a blessing to the industry!
