We rented from Beach South Realty for a year. The property we rented from was beautiful- we didn't…read morewant to leave, but felt we needed to due to things being reported and never fixed- just covered up, if that. We did everything that was on the check out list, and were even thanked for doing such a great job cleaning (I always clean myself when I move out- I never hire someone to do what I can do myself). We hired the carpet cleaner & had it sprayed for pests by the person that was suggested. Everything was done above and beyond what was required. The next renters were about 20 minutes away to get the keys after we turned ours in right after the check out inspection (during this "inspection," no paperwork was done- we should've known that was not right). When we got close to our 45-days of receiving no deposit refund and no word on anything being wrong, we were going to contact the agency, but we gave them the benefit of our doubt. We finally contacted them two days after that 45-days, and sure enough, there was something wrong with our move out inspection. They said they had to hire professional cleaners and would refund us the deposit, minus the cleaners' bill. We requested to see the bill, but we're told it hadn't been given yet (red flag #5- we all know the bill is received immediately after any service is done). It took another month before we heard back, so we went to speak with our lawyer. He said we definitely have a case. Upon hearing about the lawyer and giving Beach South a ten-day grace period to give our deposit back, they called to let us know they "all of a sudden" got the bill for the cleaners, and would we really want to take them to court for the $150 it was from the cleaners (we never saw the bill, mind you). We ended up just letting the $150 go- we would've had to miss work and put too much energy into this poor situation. This is how they are able to scam people and get away with it. We are so disgusted that we even trusted them, because we felt something was off in the beginning (very unprofessional!!), but we really liked the property. This is a shiesty shiesty business to say the least.

Told the holes in the back yard would be filled. Told the yard would be cut and bushes trimmed. Also told us they were going to build a deck on the back (not a big deal) but still why say things if your not going to do these things. When I called Monica about the garage door opener being hit by lightning. She responded in way as tho she didn't believe me. I had to tell her the reason I thought lightning, was because we got hit on that side of the house and lost cable box and a fan. She is always on the defensive end on any subject I've brought up. So she says I'm going to sears and I gonna pick up one, can you send me a picture. I did, never seen it. Still no garage door opener. When the dish washer broke it took 2 weeks to get replaced. It would of taken longer I'm sure if I didn't call her and remind her it's been 2 weeks. I have learned they are slow and will not call you with an update on repairs unless you bug them. So when the AC broke I was having no part of this game now. So I bugged the crap out of them. Next morning I was pissed still no response as to what's going on. Please how long does it take to pick up a phone, call a repair guy and then call the tenant to let them know what's happening on the repair. According to the AC repair guy they had just contacted him right before he called me to say he would be here in a couple hours. I called them at noon on Thursday and they did not call anyone till 1pm on Friday. I finally got a call from Monica while the repair guy was standing in front of me. Didn't even bother to pick up. I'm done with her. Her attitude, her care for her tenants. She really acts like your a pee on and your bothering her every time. This a poor excuse for a property mgmt co. I hope the owner knows about the roof missing shingles and other repairs that are not being done. This house needs work. This house is settling and there is a big crack in the bedroom wall and the counters in the kitchen are separating from the wall. The kitchen sink has a screwed up faucet. The floor trim around the fireplace has separated. Stains in the carpets. The floors were so greasy when we moved in. It took approx 5 mopping to get the greasy feel out. Which also resulted in some covered up scratches in the floor. Clever, wish I knew what the previous tenant used. The railing going upstairs is so full of some kind of crap on them, I have tried cleaning but it's useless, I think it needs to be sanded down and new stain. House needs some major TLC. The walls need new paint. I know for a fact that they have not been painted in at least 5 years. The owner was all ok if I wanted to paint but no offer in providing supply's. By the way the property manager never came over after we moved in to do a walk through. We made the mistake of renting without seeing. Never have I met her and at this point I don't care if I do. Oh and to top it all off, at the same time the AC broke they double dipped my bank for rent. Of course they blame me. Saying I was on auto pay and I submitted a payment. I have lived here now for 15 months and never have I been on auto pay. I always pay through their web site. Just another example of them throwing the blame on the tenant. Today is Oct 4th 2019. To be continued. To sum it up at our last month. Please don't rent from Beach south they are the worst at working with you and privacy means nothing to them. Told us the house was for sale and needed to get a virtual video of home with all my things inside. Lied again, the house is not for sale but for rent and she has all the pictures. We told her because of my husbands underlying health conditions that we would prefer her wait till we vacate the property but no, she does not care, They where just here a month ago for an inspection which they took what seems like a 100 pictures. So invasive. They do not give 2 cents about their tenants. You have been warned.
