We saved even more insuring our three vehicles with our new provider. After leaving, we found out that they screwed up and listed me as the driver in my spouse's accident so now I show up in the MVR as having that accident. After contacting several people at American Family, they can't seem to fix the issues so I am unable to take advantage of the good driver discount at State Farm. Basically, since we are no longer customers, they have no incentive to correct the problem. In short, American Family price gouged us for several years and screwed us on the way out. I urge anyone who has been with American Family (Robert Bias) for any length of time to get a quote elsewhere! I don't normally leave bad reviews, but this one is well deserved. Don't fall for the trooper story he tells everyone. This guy and this company will try and rip you off!

Come to find out I was without car insurance for almost a whole year and also he put an SR 22 bond on the policy that I don't even need and did not request. I asked him when I got a notice of cancellation for the SR 22bond about my policy when I asked him why the bond was on there he cannot explain and became very upset and yelled at me over the phone which I thought was very unprofessional. When I asked him if my car was insured after figuring out that he put the wrong information on my policy he stated my car was not insured and I would not be able to drive to see him because I did not have insurance! What a nightmare that became I had to call and get another insurance broker to handle this. He hung up on me when I kept asking him what is exactly on my policy, if you are reading this do not get your insurance through Bob bias of American family insurance, you will save yourself a big headache if you just go elsewhere he is unprofessional and I don't believe he really understands the insurance business!

After filling out an online request to be contacted by an agent, Nicole reached out instead. Communication was slow and disorganized--she sent one business-related question per day via text, and when we finally spoke on the phone, she abruptly cut the call short to pick up her kids, promising to follow up later (which she didn't). I called her, she answered, requested to put me on hold, and then hung up on me. When I tried to reach her again, my calls were not answered. Then she stated via text that she called me and it "went straight to voicemail," though no one else had trouble contacting me. After several attempts, I was finally able to get my policy processed, but even then, communication remained difficult. When I asked to handle an additional insured designation over the phone instead of texting back and forth, her tone became sarcastic, and she gaslit me about the communication issues. After expressing my frustration and asking if another agent could assist me, she claimed she was the only one handling business policies. She unnecessarily shared details of her business with my mother (who was not involved in this initial process). When I decided to cancel due to the poor service, she continued to be condescending, sarcastically mentioning the small refund amount. If you're a small business owner looking for serious, professional service, I would not recommend working with this agent. The process was dragged out unnecessarily and could have been handled in a single day with better communication.
