I was hoping to post a five start review for this shop, but I am so upset that he is NOT getting a good review! Two weeks ago, I drove 40 minutes to take my granddaughter's Homecoming Dance long dress to have it hemmed. Eric said it would be ready in two weeks and would charge me $120. I thought that was high, but the dress had three layers, so I said okay. This morning I called him and I couldn't understand his accent very well, but I did hear that he couldn't find the dress. He asked me my name three times. He said he'd call me back and when he did he said to come on out. I drove the 40 minutes again only to find he had not even started it! It was hanging in a garment bag on the wall and he had forgotten about it. My granddaughter's dance is in 3 days and now we have NO dress! I didn't even hear an "I'm Sorry". He just told me how it's easier to buy ready made dresses online, etc. I didn't say much except that now we have to rush out to try to find a dress that fits her and took the dress. I will never go back to this shop again! read more

Called to discuss pricing over the phone. Their immediate response was "how can I discuss pricing if you have not told me anything you want altered?" In a rude tone. Extremely impatient with me when I was trying to be polite and tell them why I was calling before I went into the details of what I needed done. I came to his shop and I was told to leave because he was closing 2 hours earlier than closing time. ( I believe he works alone so it was no big deal) Came back the next day with the same 4 pieces and he said I had too much. His store was full and he mentioned that it was a fire hazard (No biggie) I tried to let him take one of my pants but he said something about dark denim was going to be too much. I tried to give him a dress jacket and he said it would be difficult because of the sleeves. I tried but he did not want my money. read more

Eric is great! He hemmed my dress for my white coat ceremony the day before the actual event in about 20 minutes. A life saver!

If I could give NEGATIVE stars!!! Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT take a prom dress or anything with beaded details to Eric. I'm sure he does a fine job with altering basic pants, skirts, shirts. Who knows. I'll never be back either way. Here's our experience: Dropped off a prom dress on February 7th. Made sure he knew we needed it complete the first week of April which gave him plenty of time (8 weeks!) to complete the work. Didn't indicate an issue with the alterations work we agreed upon. Was nice enough at that time. I called on April 1st to check on it. Hadn't even started it! Said to pick up April 9th. Called on Friday, April 8th to make sure it would be ready. Yes, ready at 4pm the next day. Show up and he is in an OUTRAGE about the dress breaking his needle. I mean slamming his steam iron onto a pair of pants over & over. He's got a call into the repair guy from Atlanta which will cost $100. Told me I could just take the dress to the mall alterations place or David's bridal. WHAT?! Now that I need it IMMEDIATELY! That was why I took it early to someone to avoid that stress! Raised voice about his broken needle, the cost to repair the machine, and on and on. Does a business with overhead not keep a backup machine in case the one thing you MUST have to conduct business breaks??!! How stupid!! And then blaming the customer with a raised voice, very agitated, with aggressive actions with a steaming hot iron?! Honestly, it was shocking the difference in his personality change from when we dropped off and picked up. Again, NEGATIVE 100 out of 10 recommend. Do not go here!!! read more

I was told to come in on a Wednesday to get a sports jacket hemmed. and when I got there. I explained what I needed done. he then proceeds to ask if I was an uga student I told him no. He then turns me away and tells me to go else where with out even looking at what I needed just because I wasn't a student. read more
