From the start, he did not follow through on what he promised. He wasn't even aware of my case until I had to call and get on the "new client list" just to get his attention. To this day, he has never met me in person and doesn't even know what I look like -- despite being retained to represent me. Later, when I terminated the representation, I requested a refund of my unused retainer. Despite multiple letters, phone calls, emails, and messages to his paralegal, I have received no accounting of fees and no refund. The contract I signed clearly requires him to provide both. It has now been weeks with no communication, no explanation, and no refund. I am preparing to file a grievance with the Wisconsin Office of Lawyer Regulation and pursue recovery through other means. Based on my experience, this firm demonstrated a complete lack of communication, professionalism, and accountability. I would strongly caution anyone considering this attorney to look elsewhere.

But there should be a list by the front desk either behind it so that person knows where to send people for drug screenings or have a list of options posted for people to go. So, I spent $50 that I need, intending to get a job, and no one took 2 minutes out of their day to check and see on the status of my screening or if I was still interested in the job. Such a shame. She made a mistake on the employment authorization form that caused me to lose my job. The mistake was that she was supposed to choose the option for a new authorization instead of renewing an old authorization because it was being requested under a new status. As a lawyer, this is basic information that she should have known. I was easily able to find directions on the USCIS web site that clearly explains which option should be chosen. I reapplied for the authorization myself and received approval after only eleven days. I waited for her authorization to be approved for seven months before I applied on my own. I addressed this error with Nadeska and requested compensation for the financial loss I incurred due to being without a job for seven weeks, as of now, and paying twice for employment authorization. Also, the authorization she chose was more expensive than the option that was supposed to be chosen. She would not admit that she made a mistake, nor would she refund me any money.

Ok...but what about our money? If I hadn't called, would they ever have gotten back to us? It took another ten days of horsing around with paralegal Liz to get the check in the mail, and at one point, when I called on a Monday afternoon to find out our status, only found out the following day that the office was, yes, closed for a funeral that afternoon. Not that their outgoing voicemail or email gave any indication of that, leaving me to wonder what they were up to by continuing to hold a significant sum that was due to us. It's 2016, folks -- if you're closed, you need to let people know! The final insult? The check (and accompanying formal letter and statement saying yup, no damages, here is your money) was sent certified mail...and of course, Liz failed to tell me that, so we ended up having to wait *another* day and make a trip to the post office to get the check since we were not home when the mail came. I cannot believe these people are still in business, given how poorly they handled such a simple transaction. Save your frustration and stay away.
