DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP! I had probably the worst experience I've ever had with a…read morebusiness at a shop here. I had my brother go in and order some new tires from this place as well as buy/ put an order in for some used parts that he paid for in advance. My brother got 2 new tires, a master cylinder for a front break, a throttle with cables, and gave the owner some money to take a gas cap off a tank and have a new key cut for the bike. He also had him look at the brakes on the bike and make sure they were in good shape. The owner tells my brother he'll call him when the tires come in so he can pick them up. A couple of weeks go by, and no call. So my brother calls the shop, and apparently they've had the tires for over a week, so my brother annoyed goes and picks up the tires and brings them home. He shoots me a photo of the tires. They were basically the complete opposite of what was requested. My brother told him to get vintage high wall tires, and the guy probably just order the first thing he saw. What we ended up with were some slick sport tires you'd put on a spot bike or a rocket. So, I decided to go in and straighten the situation out. I talked to my brother, and picked the tires up. When I picked the tires up my brother mentioned the guy should have a gas cap for the bike as well. I go into the shop. My first impression of the place is small town shop with brains equal in size. I tell the owner of the shop what's up with the tires, and he says "oh yeah, I can totally get those tires in for you", and I say " great let's do that". And then the guy just stands there and looks at me blankly. So I then proceed to ask the man if he can price those tires out for me, and he says " yeah, I can do that", and then again just stares at me. So after a few seconds I was like "well do you want to do that now"? And the guys was like "sure." And he just sort of made up an arbitrary price in his head. I then ask about the gas cap my brother had mentioned. They guy had one that he would sell me but he didn't have a key for it, so I decided I didn't want it. I told the guy let me know asap when the tires get in and he said he would. A week goes by and no call. So I call the place, and end up playing phone tag for a few days. I finally get ahold of the guy. He tells me he hasn't even ordered them yet! Wtf?! I tell the guy not to place the order and that I'll just take the extra money I gave him back for the tires. So after all this BS. While my brother and I are working on my bike I mention that I couldn't find a gas cap, and the one this guy had did't have a key for it my brother said "wait you didn't pick that cap up? I paid that guy for that cap already he was supposed to cut a key for it" that's right people this guy took my brothers money and then tried to sell me the same part! He didn't even cut a key for it. My brother lost the receipt for it so we couldn't get our money back. If all of this isn't shocking enough for you, a few weeks go by, and my brother and I start to work on the brakes. We put the brake lever with the master cylinder on it on the bike, and the master cylinder doesn't work. The guy sold us junk! Also when I finally got the bike out on the street the rear brake squeaks. Like I said before Do not go to this shop!

Sad to say, Jakes Bikes dissapointed us greatly. We really shopped and researched EBIKES.As they…read moreare $$$$$ We are elderly and our concern was having great support and service. After we bought the ebike the decline began The service took a nose dive after the 2ond summer owning it The bike had very low mileage and somehow the chain fell off. Jake came out and in seconds it was fixed. The next day when my husband was goint to go ride,It would not even start. 1 WEEK later we recieved a bill for the ''CHAIN being put on track" IT WAS ALMOST $200.00!!!!! I was insulted,as he NEVER said that would be the cost.I was stunned when I emailed him and asked why so much He got defencive and stated he told us that is what he charges...I know that we are very cautious when we spend in a luxury. As my jusband is very economicly conservative,he would not do that without a discussion. I was very respectful and he became indignant, and said, that he was charging the fee anyways. It was so much to do a seconds work.He said the bikes are $$$$$$$ so is everything else so much because I sell $$$$$bikes. He did not care that after he left it did not even start! Really, don't you think it was common sence to just allow it to start.I spoke about my years of owning a retail store, and I was so successful becaise not only was I talented.I was never rude or dismissive to a client if they needed anything. When we sell anything thats only a small part,of having 1 sale or getting many!REFERALS ARE A RETAILERS STRONGEST TOOL IN NARKETING He ended up simply acting as if we were being needy and demanding.Stand behind the items you sell.Never argue and act justified in exploiting a vulnerable adult! I call that "cutting off your nose to spite your face. Too bad, I was going to also going to buy a bike, but now? NO. I AM NOT.That act and inflated ego just cost Jake future biz,and services.Penny wise, dollar foolish!
