We loved the boardwalk to the beach, and appreciated how clean and plentiful the bathrooms were near the concession stand. The facilities were clean, the workers were friendly and the beach was clean. Hopefully we can stop back another time and hit the jackpot with some treasure hunting!

This patch of green offers a nice playground for young children, a pretty outdoor pavilion that overlooks the beautiful blue waters of the lake & there's even a deck on the side of the shelter house for all to enjoy! It has nice grills if you're picnicking too. There's plenty of shade & equal amounts of sun, lots of parking & my personal fav. -it's dog friendly! It's also large enough to play a game of soccer or football. It's not far from the main strip so you can easily grab food & bring it back to enjoy as well. The perfect escape from the crowded sidewalks & noisy environment.

Plus, it's right next door to Dairy Queen... what more could you ask for? But what really stood out to me was the employee working during my visit. His name is Billy, and I was genuinely impressed. First, I noticed him sweeping the parking lot (who even does that anymore?). Then he was cleaning off the picnic tables, and later blowing leaves off the course. He wasn't being supervised--he was simply taking pride in his work. In a time when it's hard to find people who go above and beyond, Billy truly stood out. If I owned a business, I'd be trying to recruit him in a heartbeat. Kudos to Billy for his outstanding work ethic, and kudos to Mentor Mini Golf for having such a dedicated employee. If you're looking for a fun, well-kept course with great atmosphere, this is the place to go!

It never ceases to amaze. The parking is never ending. The beach goes on forever. There is an abundance of picnic areas, grills, pavilions, and public bathrooms. The walking trails are more than a mile long. And then there is the lake... that big beautiful lake. It is just a fantastic place to spend a day. Go with friends. Take your kids and grandkids. If you're looking for a peaceful and tranquil place to get away, look no further because "Lakeview…read morePark" will have you covered. Located in the sleepy lake town of Conneaut Ohio, this place lies directly alongside Lake Erie and is at the northwest corner of Erie and Sandusky streets. I am amazed that a place like this is just a little over an hour east to Cleveland while it feels like a whole different world. During my visits, I have seen some breathtaking sunsets, bird watching, and just a perfect place for a picnic. Some other great events that are held here include the 4th of July festival complete with a parade, vendors, & live entertainment, D-day Conneaut that is held every year in mid-August, and softball games complete with concession stands. This is also a popular location amongst high schoolers that take their pictures with Erie lake in the background. In addition to that, there's an arts center as well as nearby Lakefront Motel in case you wish to stay the night. One drawback of this park is that it is not dog friendly which can be a make it or break it since Conneaut itself is a community where many people are proud dog owners. There is a public restroom at this park; however not the cleanest as that might deter people from using the facilities here. However, the pros outweigh the cons as they offer ample parking throughout while the boat launch area is fee is a respectable $8 charge. There are also some great family-owned restaurants nearby including "Breakwall BBQ", "Sparky's Place", and "Castaways Pizza", all within a few blocks walking distance. All in all, "Lakeview Park" is a decent place for the whole entire family. Whether it is enjoying a picnic on a warm summer day or going to the Oasis Marina at Port Conneaut, the views all in itself are quite amazing and picturesque. My rating, an above average four stars.
