The process was simple, visited the website, got connected with Sonny Baker in Austin, TX within 24 hrs, received the email with required documents to email/upload onto their website (takes some preparation but it went smoothly) and in less than 30 days I was approved for my refinance at 3.75%, 30 yr fixed. The rates moved slightly up just after Sonny and I first talked; I had searched around (Quicken and several others) but Bedrock Mortgage, (dba, Fairway Independent Mortgage) was the lowest. Despite the slight rise in rates, Sonny held true to his word and kept the lower rate of 3.75%...awesome. Walked me through the process, handed me off to Chad who handled my documents; extremely easy to work with and to stay in touch with. My credit score is high, no outstanding debts/bankruptcies, which I assume helped make things go pretty well. I only had to submit a simple letter explaining some entries on my credit report but Chad worked with me very easily. Overall, 5 stars because they did what they said they would do, they made it painless and the closing was done at my house in the evening by a Notary who called in advance to find out when it would be convenient for my wife and I.....never had that happen before!!! I had wasted six months, and an appraisal that at the time did me no good. In checking spam mail one day I found the contact from BedRock Lending also referred from my inquiry to Zillow. Knowing first hand the unique Texas mortgage laaws from a previous refi, the signatue block caught my attention; that Bedrock Lending is a Texas based firm. I immediately contacted Mike Miller and have no regrets. We ran the numbers and locked in at the lowest rate possible for me. I've gone from a 5.835 (2004) to a 3.125 (2016). Sonnny and his processing team were easy to work with. I don't know what magic they used, but I did not have to pay for another appraisal. My closing was complicated as I work a 4.5 hour drive from where my my home is located. That, too, they were able to deal with.
