Personally, I have never had a male boudoir photographer and decided to give Mark a try. I recently had surgery and this was my first boudoir shoot after recovery, so this was a special occasion! Booking and completing the online consultation was easy. I had the advantage of already being familiar with boudoir, but for anyone who is hesitant to try for whatever reason, the virtual consult is sure to put your nerves at ease. My first impression of Mark was that he is very professional and respectful. You can tell that his mission is clear and he wants his clients to have full control over what they want out of boudoir. Everything was explained clearly and I was left with zero questions. On the date of the shoot, I was able to find Mark's studio with ease. There is ample parking as it is in a neighborhood, and the unit itself is located in a gated condo community. He came down to greet me. Upon entering the unit, I was greeted by his makeup artist and she got straight to work while Mark went upstairs to give us privacy. Both Mark and the artist made me feel very comfortable and, bonus points -gave me deejay power. The makeup artist was very flexible and didn't ask a slew of questions when I told her that I didn't have any expectations. I don't own a lot of makeup and wearing it is even more rare, so it was a nice change of pace to have someone truly use my face as a canvas. I am super pleased with the results and was able to wear it to dinner that same night! As for the shoot itself, Mark conveyed his instructions well while considering what I wanted from the shoot. At no point did I feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or insecure. He encouraged taking my time and didn't force me to do anything that I didn't want to do or was physically incapable of doing because holy cow -boudoir is a workout. Anyway, it took a little while for photo editing but it was worth the wait! An additional appointment was required for the reveal, and it was very challenging to pick my favorites since Mark did an amazing job. As for payment, Mark was super patient and understanding with me despite a few financual curveballs. Once paid in full, I received my boudoir photos, elegantly displayed in a photo album. The extra goodies (chocolate and a yeti cup) lends a luxurious feel, all packaged in a gift bag. Everything was so well done! I am pleased to report that the entire process from start to finish was effortless, and I highly recommend Dream In Blue Photography!

Right off the bat, Z was so personable and helped dissolve our nerves around being in front of a camera. What I especially appreciate is how little prep we needed; Z had asked my wife a few rudimentary questions to get a sense of who we were beforehand, but otherwise we were able to come in, be ourselves, and let ourselves be guided on a very fun journey. I'll add that my wife appreciated that Z keeps some beautiful gowns and kimonos on hand, so she didn't need to shop to get ready for this. Basically we spent virtually no time prepping for this, had a really great time, and the photos came out amazing. We look forward to working with her again when our newborn comes!

My photographer was KT and she was incredible. I am 50 years old, chubby and have never done a boudoir shoot before. I was so anxious, I almost chickened out and canceled a dozen times. Even walking into the place, with my hair and makeup done, I felt absolutely sick with nerves and wanted to cancel. I am SO glad I went through with it. It was one of the most empowering, fun and transformative experiences ever. I felt like a total rockstar by the end of our shoot - KT was just perfect. Talk about a bedside manner! In the beginning I was clutching my robe like a granny and hiding in the shadows. By the end I was like, oh, you want me to stand by the window fully nude for best lighting? No problem! Instead I feel ATB works hard to create the illusion of that kind of experience but in the end ATB lacks the details and options necessary to make it a personalized intimate experience. I am 48 year olds, I'm proud of my not so perfect body. Seeing my body all touched up to perfection has has a negative effect on my self-esteem. I settled right in and Monica (Lanett's very talented makeup/hair stylist) started on my hair and makeup immediately. She did a beautiful job. Since this was my first time doing a boudoir photo shoot I felt the usual nerves. Lanett really helped ease my insecurity. From hand to foot placements, she did an awesome job at guiding me through the entire shoot. I honestly do not think anyone else could have done a better job with this. The experience started out with a try on of the plethora of gorgeous maternity gowns, robes, and even Victoria secret wings! I chose 5 looks for the shoot, this way I could get my shoes and accessories ready for the big day! On the day of my shoot I had my makeup and hair done by her amazing artist in house! I felt so glamorous and beautiful! Ginny has a huge studio with so many different sets for a variety of backgrounds, lighting, and looks. I could tell she had prepped my outfits with the backdrops. She also has a ton of jewelry to play with amd play up the looks. She directed me in such a way that was fun and playful as she shot my photos.
