The sales desk is a central island with the jewellery displayed in glass cases around the walls of the store leaving a clear wide area suitable for wheelchairs which goes round the store. Samuels sells a large range of jewellery,rings, necklaces, ear rings, pendants, bracelets, watches, and also other items such as limited edition figurines such as the Nao collection, expensive pen sets, and a range of Swarovski crystal pieces. The sales people are very helpful and will take time with you whilst you choose your jewellery, and items can be made smaller or ordered in larger sizes if the stock items are not the correct size.Samuels also take jewellery repairs.

So, if you have been to Accessorize before then you can easily imagine what Quarters is like. There are actually mere differences if you compare the two shops; an obvious one is that Quarters sells mini bikinis which noticeably are for younger girls, therefore the shop does tend to attract the much younger generation. In terms of the products they have, you can find anything from bracelets, Venetian decorated hairbrushes to beady necklaces and fashionable scarves. It is apparent that prices are generally cheap here so it is a great place to shop for a few little gifts. I wouldn't be able to comment on the quality as I've not bought anything from here but for the reasonable prices, you can't really argue too much about quality. One of the few places propping up the almost derelict Clayton Square shopping centre, Quarters has been offering cut price costume jewellery and accessories to the good people of Liverpool for years and years and years. Though a bit grotty looking from the outside (the signage looks like a 1970's chocolate bar wrapper) inside it's a bright, shiny Aladdin's cave of bits and bobs. Usually the stuff is more suited to costume building - lacy, feathery hair decorations if you're going as a 1920's flapper, dangly plastic necklaces if you're going as an Egyptian princess - but, my female friends and relatives inform me, some of the items are good enough to wear out and about (and cheap enough that it doesn't matter if they break). The stock here is constantly being renewed so visits only a week or so apart will turn up completely new accessories, this does though mean that if you see something you like you should pick it up before someone else does. There have even been a number of occasions where Quarters have stocked items that have been a bit ahead of the curve - they sold dangly Sherpa hats before anywhere else really started to and I recently picked up a gold-coloured analogue watch for £5 from here which looked almost identical to a £35 example from Urban Outfitters. The shop is filled with cards, postcards, jewellery, wrapping paper, stationary, lighting, novelties, books, artwork, watches, bags, clothes, toys, ceramics, cosmetics and much much more. The shop is cluttered with hundreds of different items but at the same time it is tidy, clean and well organised. Whenever I have to buy a present or a card this is my first stop. There are gifts suitable for people of all ages and appropriate for all occasions. There is a huge range of cards available for all occasions. From the cute handmade cards to give to your mum, to the hilariously offence cards to give to friends, there is something here for everyone. My favourite part of the shop is the jewellery cabinets by the windows. The stock in here is changed and updated regularly and there is always something in the cabinets that catches my eye when I feel like treating myself to something sparkly.

Prices range from inexpensive to a raised eyebrow, as, for example, the compact mirror I was gushing overturned out to be £8. For a bit of plastic? I gasped. Yes, we all know I'm a miser. However, there are some truly hilarious bits and bobs in here, and it is hard not to buy anything. I especially loved the Carry on Camping plates that were on display in the window - imagine serving dinner on them and seeing Babs pertly staring at you...

The branch in Liverpool One convinced me that it was, this establishment was classy and beautifully presented and it really impressed me from the start of my visit until its conclusion. The range at this establishment was fantastic and they had products to cater for the needs of everyone and as such I purchased a special keepsake for my girlfriend's 21'st birthday. The value was fantastic and the quality and craftsmanship of the product could not have been higher. The staff were sensational and a credit to the business, they were polite and chatty and really helped out an awful lot with my purchase. On the whole I could not have been more impressed with this brilliantly run establishment.

They sell a good range of styles and have a good range of prices to match. I've bought a few things from HPJ and they've always been OK for the price but not lasted very long. If you want an item to match an outfit then this is a good place, but don't expect to purchase a family heirloom here.
