It was a trade in and was not on the lot yet. I requested they call me when it arrived. In order for that to happen, I HAD to put a $500 down deposit on the vehicle. Once there, I spent an hour looking over the vehicle and checking options during my test drive. Inside, while sitting at the salesman's desk (Marc) I stated, oh I forgot to check the backup camera. This was one of three options I had to have. It was pointed out to me that the ad for the pickup listed backup camera so it was an option for this vehicle. I was shown the website ad at the saleman's desk. My fault, I trusted the Ernst Team and did not go outside to check. We spent three hours with the the test drive, reviewing options, and signing paperwork. While test driving the vehicle, I had seen a tire was low on the lot but was assured by the Ernst sales team the tire appeared low due to the slight angle the vehicle was sitting. Once I got home, the next day the low tire pressure light came on. The tire was visibly low. I discovered one of the tires had an air leak and had to be repaired. I didn't want to drive 1.5 hours one way for a $20 tire fix. This was a disappointment as the vehicle had sat on the Ernst lot for several days (held on my deposit) and would have been noticable as quickly as the tire lost air overnight. So immediately, I had the tire fixed. The vehicle did NOT have a backup camera. The ad had been taken off of the website due to me purchasing the vehicle so I do not have it to share here. I contacted Ernst saying there was a problem. I drove 1.5 hours one way to Columbus as I was still under the 30 day satisfaction guarantee. The sales team looked up the archived ad and agreed the vehicle was listed with a back up camera option. They also agreed it did not have that option. I was advised the fine print of the website states mistakes could be made. The salesman remembered me asking about the backup camera at his desk. Knowing this was one of my three required options, we discussed the satisfaction guarantee. I could not have a refund of the vehicle but could trade for a similiar option. There was not another GMC product, 1/2 ton with mileage within 10,000 of what I purchased at the same price point. Therefore, the satisfaction guarantee was not applicable. I asked Ernst how much it would cost to have them install a backup camera. They informed me that is not an option at their store, but I could go have an after market camera installed on my own. I am extremely dissatisfied that the vehicle was misrepresented and Ernst did not take actions to correct it. I do give them credit for admitting the ad was incorrect and the sales team acknowledging that I had asked about the option on the vehicle and was mis-informed. I also acknowledge that people make mistakes and it was my responsibility to review options on the sales ad. However, I do not trust the sales manager Tobin and will not be purchasing any other vehicles from Ernst.

I would not recommend coming here for an oil change, due to the amount of time it takes. I came for…read moremy 1230 appointment on a Wednesday afternoon, and was there for two hours, although this service is scheduled to take one hour. There were a few other people waiting in the Auto area for a while, so I can only imagine mine was not an isolated experience. The oil change seems to be fine, it cost about $70 for an oil change with premium synthetic, and $20 for a tire rotation. I paid $89 total. The staff was fine, although it would've been nice if they occasionally gave me a verbal update while they saw me waiting. I came up to ask for an ETA about an hour and a half in. I had to miss two work meetings due to this going over, so I will not be back.
