Through all these years, my encounters with the staff have been courteous and professional. More importantly, I appreciate the consistent customer service level extended by the staff. As an example of their customer service, I accidentally broke a lens this past summer that was just replaced in late 2023. I was expecting to pay full price for the replacement even when the staff informed me that she will see what can be done. To my surprise, I was informed that the lens was still under warranty and would be replaced without additional cost. As a result, I would recommend Vacaville Optometric Center for any of your vision care needs.

Horie Optometry was one of two places that accepted our insurance and decided to book an appointment with them only because the other place had a long wait time. THANK GOD! My mother immigrated from Korea and has always been frugal, which showed in the glasses that she has always worn (they were not good and didn't match her vision as good). I was concerned if this place would be adequate in both their services and customer interaction so that my mother would have a positive experience. Let me tell ya, the staff at the desk were friendly and nice, as well as Dr. Horie. The process was smooth, quick, and easy. When they knew that my mother has breast cancer, they treated her so well. Whenever I asked questions, the staff took the time to explain clearly and in a friendly manner. The fact that this place was away from busier areas in Vacaville made it feel like this was our own personal optometry spot. I will only get glasses from the optical department at Costco because the value is so good. I really like my eye doctor, but the frames are so incredibly expensive. I can get two or three pair pairs of glasses from Costco for the same price as the glasses through my optometrist. I really like the sale where you get $50 off additional pairs and I've always been pretty satisfied with the different selections of frames. They have luxury frames in the glass case and some funky or unusual colors and shapes that are really fun. There's always staff available and I usually get seen very quickly. They usually have the glasses ready for pick up within a week if not earlier. It's really smooth operations where you get a phone call or voicemail to let you know that they're ready for pick up. I'm very satisfied with the optical department.

Additionally, they tested my eyesight and charged me when I didn't ask for an eye exam. I was there because I have narrow angle, glaucoma, and the doctor proceeded to tell me that my very high pleasure was not a big deal and that lots of people live with high pressure and did a throw exam and left it at that. I was with Kaiser before and they took my pressure reading seriously and gave me drops to lower the pressure I've left. It went to uC Davis and I'm getting wonderful care and they take my narrow angle glaucoma, seriously.

Come to find out he botched up the surgery and now I have a film over my left eye. When I spoke to him about it, he said I needed Lasix surgery. Dr. Sandler is arrogant, narcissistic, and always has a smirk on his face, like your a child and don't know what you're talking about! I wish I could give him a zero review.
