I was allegedly caught by a speed camera on 4/22 in DC and I apologize to the audience but I forget the exact location. On 4/24 I sold my car to a nissan dealership. I contested twice to the DC ticket service and told them that I was not the driver and I was giving the potential buyer a test drive. I even showed them proof of my bill of sale. They denied my reconsideration twice so I reached out to Mr. Riley. Basically if you live outside Washington DC proper and you have only one outstanding ticket there's nothing they can do as long as you don't start a business, plan on purchasing property, etc in Washington DC proper. They are not allowed to affect your credit score over camera tickets. Even if they send this to a collections agency there's basically nothing they can do. Theoretically if they catch your vehicle in DC they can boot it. But in my case I sold my car and don't have a car so there's nothing they can do. I also live in VA and plan on moving to Houston in the near future. so if your case is similar to mine don't pay the ticket!
