Kenline Veterinary Clinic - Horrible xray that is washed out from poor exposure

First, I'm noticing that my initials are the same as the vet, but I am NOT the vet, Dr. White…read more I brought my dog to this clinic while I was in Colorado recently, and they took great care of him. I took him here because the google reviews were so wonderful! All our clinics here in San Diego are already corporate owned, so vet care costs an arm and a leg. Did his bloodwork and heartworm test for a fraction of what it would cost me here in San Diego. Found out my dog is hypothyroid, something nobody has tested before. Dr. White walked in the room and looked at his fur and knew in one second that he was going to be hypothyroid. I thought that was ridiculous since ive paid VCA more than $45k in the past 6 months fighting my dogs cancer. Surely they would've tested him! But alas, no. They hadn't, and all my dog's patchy bald spots were, in fact, due to hypothyroid. They gave him his adequan shots for arthritis for a fraction of what I pay here. And to top if off, they got a bunch of goo out of his Paws that looked like it had been lodged in there for a year. It was causing dermatitis between his toes. It was gross. And my doctors here would've NEVER done that. My 11.5 year old pup is feeling AMAZING! He loved the staff, too! It's not a fancy clinic, but the clients all seemed very happy, and I just hope for all your sakes, that the vet doesn't sell out to corporate soon, like all the practices here have done. At that point you won't be able to walk out for even the simplest of procedures for less than $500 per visit. I really wish we had some independently owned vet practices where I live. Thanks Kenline for taking care of my sweet Basil.

It was obvious to me that they don't even talk to each other, just looking for ways to keep the place open with useless tests that weren't needed. By the time they "figured out" what was wrong, it was too late to do anything to help her so she was PTS. Thanks for nothing but a dead dog and an empty bank account. Will never return.

I'm very happy with the care that my senior dog and I have received at Red Rock Veterinary Health…read more I love that they're owned by local vets instead of a megacorp. Additionally I can see that they prioritize the well-being of their clients in their operations. My senior dog has complex medical needs and comes with extensive medical records. I really appreciate that the team and veterinarian took the time to review his records before our appointment. We've kept the same vet for follow up visits and guidance (Dr Dan is amazing) although they have other vets on duty that can advise for more pressing concerns when our vet is taking time off. They're closed on the weekends and have taken care to ensure my dog has any meds they may need on Fridays before they close to reduce the chance that we need to seek urgent care. Their prices are very reasonable and they don't make me schedule an appointment to give updates on my pet's status or get feedback from the vet. They provide hard copy prescriptions and will refill medications at local pharmacies without making me jump through hoops to access affordable medication options. I can text them to share updates on my pet's status and schedule appointments and they've consistently gotten back to me in a timely manner. They're a certified Fear Free clinic and it shows in their work. I can't say enough good things about them! As an owner of a pet care business I am thrilled I have a solid vet partner to refer my clients to. Thank y'all for taking such great care of my fur baby and me. I'm so grateful!

The concept of a fear free clinic is fantastic, and I think it could be done but not while relying…read moreon the use of so many drugs for every appointment. Today I found the clinic to be unprofessional and incredibly disrespectful and left without accomplishing the vaccines we were scheduled for. When voicing serious concerns about the treatment of my dog, Lauren felt it was best to argue with me on the call and double down on the necessity of pills for her appointments, which was never agreed upon nor addressed when the appointment was made. I will also add that my dog is nervous, anxious, and shaky. Not violent, aggressive, or unpredictable. And all of this was after we waited in the exam room 30 min past our appointment time with no communication. This is not the vet for everyone. And I would not recommend based on the suggested overuse of drugs in my own dog for minor appointments such as nail trims and vaccines.
