We are from Los Angeles and tour book recommended Esplanada. We don't speak Portuguese but the manager spoke a little English and was incredibly helpful. There is a fixed price menu where you can order four meat selections and two side selections. There were four of us so we ordered some of everything and shared. The sausage, filet mignon, salad, bread, and rice carretiero were fabulous! For some reason, the other meats were dry even though we ordered medium rare.
The half bottle of Chilean Carmen red wine was fabulous as well.
I would definitely come here again but I would ask for the meat to be cooked so it wasn't as dry.
All in all, a great experience! The staff was super nice as we struggled with our Google translation of Portuguese. read more
