I also took a piece of the carrot cake for 3.5 euro as take away which was probably the best thing I had from here. Service was not as friendly as many of the other small cafes I've visited in Ireland which was disappointing since this place is very charming inside. Hubby had the tall mug of steaming milk placed in front of him with an enormous block of chocolate on a stick - like a huge square lollipop. The idea was to stick it in the milk and stir until melted. There was a choice of white, milk or dark if I remember correctly (definitely more than just the white chocolate option). He absolutely LOVED it and declared it to be the best he had ever had - check out the photos. The ONLY reason they didn't get a 5 star was due to the lack of seating. We had to wait a while to get a seat and I'm not sure what they could do about that, but if you only have a limited amount of time in Kinsale, you may just want to pop your head in first to see if there is anything available.

I don't think anyone had more than half their bar - everyone commented it was quite heavy and had wished they had went with another option. All in all - it got the job done: we were fed and ready to hit the road for another day of exploring the countryside. But, next time we may opt for another place to pick up selections if we find ourselves in town again.

The cafe itself is very small with just one table seat and a few seats by the window, but it's nice and cute plus very strategically located right opposite to where all the buses leave! They also serve food like pastries and wraps and it's only €3 for a coffee + pastry combo. They didn't have any milk option besides whole milk, but other than that this a very nice inexpensive coffee shop!
