There are many seafood restaurants in Melbourne, and after digging through Yelp to find the best…read moreone, RST kept coming up, so I finally relented, made a reservation, and jumped in an Uber. As I walked inside, I was taken at how small and quaint this place was. The hostess said, "You must be Cosmo." I laughed and said yes- I must've been the only one to make a reservation that night! There was a small bar as I walked in, and I was guided to the dining room, where there were a few other diners sitting, about half full. I was shown to my table and given a menu. She handed me a menu, and asked if I wanted water, to which I said yes, tap was fine. She left me as I perused the menu, and she quickly returned with water and pointed out the board behind me, which had all the fresh fish and specials of the day. I wanted Lobster, and happily, I saw it on the board. I asked which of the prawn starters was better, and she offered a taste of both! I then ordered a lobster. I ordered green beans on the side. I also ordered a cold beer, which she brought immediately. I was brought a plate of 2 prawns which were both divine, and then another plate with another 2 prawns, and they were divine as well. I am glad I was given the option. And then my main course came, beautifully prepared, large chunks of lobster in the shell. The Green Beans were beautiful, and I must say, some of the best I have ever had! Cooked perfectly, and the almonds were delicious. The lobster was to die for- tender and flavorful, cooked perfectly. I savored each bite. I ordered a nice glass of Sauvignon Blanc with my lobster, and then had a cheese plate to finish. I sat there finishing my wine and enjoying the cheese. What a great dinner! I paid my bill, and all the staff thanked me, and I left, yearning to come back one day. For now, it will be a wonderful memory...

So far the best seafood I have found in Melbourne. Good selection of seafood. Love the pan seared…read morescallops. Very nice atmosphere and not too big. Make sure you book as this place is popular.

I'd not usually take the time to bore you with a running commentary of my McDonalds misadventures,…read morebut I feel it's my duty as a responsible and caring member of this community to warn you against this particular McDonalds outlet. Out of the 200 or so McDonalds in and around the city you'd have to be unfortunate to stumble across this one, but if you are driving by on Pascoe Vale Road one day and get the Macca's munchies, please drive on five more minutes to the next one. Living nearby I've been here three times over a couple of months, and as with baseball if you get three strikes with me, you're out. Don't get me wrong, I don't expect too much out of a cheap fast food joint. But when I've asked for a bacon mcmuffin (notice, not even a mention of egg), and get an egg mcmuffin, particularly when I've gone through the drive-thru in my PJ's with my two young children, all of us sick, I get a bit peeved that I need to suffer the humiliation to enter the store in a dishevelled state to get what I ordered. On my second visit I can't even get annoyed at getting a shot of coffee with a tea bag, because you know that's how they do a black tea at McCafé. I do feel like slapping the face of the little upstart who then stands there and argues with me that yes indeed, that is a black tea, and how did I want it then if that wasn't right -hmmph!? The straw that broke the camels mcback came after a long day of traveling for work. I wearily pulled into the drive-thru, relieved for the Macca's dinner meal that was going to save me from an hour of tortuous cooking. Yeah well, saved me from cooking three meals at least; unfortunately one whole section of the order was missing. In the end I guess my bowl of steamed vegies with Singapore needles in a blend of Asian sauces should have been fulfilling enough, but even without tasting a bite McDonalds had managed to leave a sour taste in my mouth. So, the problem isn't about how shit it tastes, coz lets face it Maccas isn't receiving a Chef's hat anytime soon for any of their outlets. It's the simple principle of trading and consumerism; it's not worth paying even $1 for a product if it's the wrong bloody one.

The Oak Park maccas sux the big one! We often get orders stuffed up at various maccas...we've been…read moreto quite a few as we travel a fair bit...but this particular maccas happens to be our local one & we go there regularly. Now you'd expect an occasional mistake to be made when fast food joints are busy but I'd say 8 out of 10 times there's something missing or replaced in our order. WTF! Don't the staff get trained anymore? Don't they listen to customers' orders? We've had to repeat our order 2, 3 or more times before staff have finally got it. And then of course we get the order & it's wrong! Is there a language difficulty, or are the staff there just hard of hearing or do they have learning difficulties? Or don't they care? Surely this needs to be looked into by management. If you can avoid Oak Park maccas, do so, do yourself a favour & save yourself the disappointment - go eat elsewhere.
