Sean was a great guide and our whole family had a great time . Since Albariño is one of our favorite wines . We had looked forward to this tour for months. It wasn't the stuffy, uncomfortable, and overly formal style of luxury - it was a perfect blend of making me feel spoiled yet also at home. The rooms were large with big windows, a well lit bathroom with great ceiling vent, huge showers with hot water and good pressure. The beds were comfortable and gave me a great night's rest after a day of travel. The city of Vigo is generally walkable and this hotel is near several shops and restaurants so it was a great location. We stayed here one night and then hit the Camino de Santiago the next morning. It was a perfect night's sleep before the start of our pilgrimage!

It may not sound like much but at this type of hotel you expect more! We've stayed at three NH Collection hotels in other countries and they were perfect. This one, not so much!!

Located in a good area and there were a couple restaurants open that were walking distance (for late night meal) Check in was a breeze - they didn't even ask for a cc for incidentals. The room was spacious (I had two doubles) my only complaint would be the shower. It was not draining very well and next thing you know, the bathroom flooded. Maintenance came up right away to fix the problem. Breakfast in my opinion wasn't so good. No fresh juices. Bf left his jeans in the closet and the hotel called to say they found it. Beds are comfortable and we had a pretty view of the street. When we needed a ride to the airport, the staff called and the taxi came in 2 minutes. I would recommend staying here!

If you have never ridden a Segway then I highly recommend you do as it is such fun and a unique way…read moreto have a tour of a city that you have never visited before with a guide telling you all about the areas / buildings / views along the way. The Segway company can be found just at the end of the harbour pier where cruise ships dock. It costs around £40 for a 90 minute ride with a tour guide. Firstly you get time to practice on the Segway before we head on up around the town. It is such fun whirling around each other and practising getting used to the movement and steering. Then we venture on into the town up hills, down hills, through streets etc with many stops. Was easy to steer the Segway and was so fun and made the steep hills a piece of cake (would of hated to of walked up them). However was bit scary coming down the hills on the Segway as some hills were quite steep. Also some people kept getting in the way so had to brake quite a bit. However was fun and a unique way to see the city rather than walking so I highly recommend to anyone as I would sure do another Segway tour be it again in Vigo or somewhere else on my travels.
