I was charged 100% for labor, was given no inventory at the end of the sale, and was told they "threw away" the contract when I repeatedly requested a copy. Over priced objects so badly they did not sell.. would not negotiate. My entire mom's home that she had been in for 63 years. and all we got was $4500 and no proof of what sold to who. The rest was given away or broken and tossed. The house was a wreck afterwards. Horrible, emotional experience. I would never recommend these ladies. They took advantage and they lied. Yikes ... I love to "estate sale," and do so frequently after I am out protesting at the local corners in and around Chula Vista and Bonita. I stopped on Friday, August 14, 2026 at their current sale on Surrey Drive in Bonita. I still had on my tee and pins from being on the corner prior. When I walked in, I was immediately *confronted* by an elderly lady who asked about my tee and pins: I could tell by her *vibe* that she wasn't going to appreciate my first amendment right. Her: Oh, what does your shirt and pins say: Me: showing her with pride ... Her: reading it out load ... "I'm not mad at you." - Renee Good's Last Words. "Are you ok?" - Alex Pretti's Last Words "I tried to stop."- Johan Sebastian Guerrero's Last Words "They're killing me."- Lorenzo Salgado Araujo's Last Words .......... Pins: ICE Doesn't Make Us Safe and Will I be next? ... and then she laughed and she laughed ! Temporarily stunned, I turned to her sidekick - another elderly lady and I said "These people were shot and killed by ICE ... certainly nothing to be laughing about amiright?" .... Her response (cold as ICE, no pun intended) ... "well, I wonder how many of those ILLEGALS killed others?" .... me: "oh, ewwwww, these are human beings ... I'm out ........" ... as I walked past the original lady who laughed when she read my tee ... I told her her sidekick just called MY FRIENDS ILLEGALS ... how gross ...... WHO actually calls another human being an "illegal?" and how gross it is ... I walked out and told everyone outside the house about it too. So, I took a pick of their sign and called them ... lady number 1 answered .... Hello ... nothing else ... I asked her if this was the Estate sale company ... and where they are located ... she hesitated but told me they are in Bonita at the current time ... knowing she recognized me as much as I recognized her, I told her that yea, that was me at the house in my tees that you laughed at ... ewwwwww ... your little sidekick had the audacity to actually call our community members "ILLEGALS" so proud like and I'm completely disgusted ... she goes (stuttering) ... well ... ummm ... I am a Conservative, Christian Republican Woman ..... I stopped her and said ... big surprise, say no more, you already told me *exactly* who you are and you haven't heard the last of me! So, unless you are ok with giving your hard-earned money to a company that disrespects OUR community members by calling them "illegal" ... (ON STOLEN LAND, but I digressssssssss), I would avoid this company like the plague! Stick with Anna's Attic Estate Sales ... their staff are down to earth and wonderful human beings !!! My dad passed last year and we utilized Sydna's services for the estate sale. During the time we worked together, the following happened. Sydna and I scheduled a time for her to come over on 7-14-24 to take photos of the items for the sale. After waiting for 20 minutes after the scheduled time, I texted her. She called me and I was told that she had forgotten about our appointment. Thankfully, we had family in town that could accommodate a new date as I worked full time and wouldn't have been able to reschedule in the time needed for the estate sale to run on time. During the estate sale itself, her and her staff altered the thermostat significantly and helped themselves to food that was in the home - both without checking in or letting us know. Upon going back to the home after the completion of the estate sale, it was unclear if they were complete as there was no communication they were done. Additionally, there was trash left by the team outside of and inside of the home. Lastly, the communication was minimal. I did not get any updates on how the sale was going throughout the week outside of one text on the first day updating that set up was mostly complete. She did not keep an itemized list of what was sold, and told us after the sale that an itemized list needed to be requested at the time of signing the contract. However, she had told us in our initial meeting we would be getting an itemized list, and there was no policy in the contract that an itemized list needs to be requested prior to signing. Given the circumstances for us hiring her, I was especially disappointed with the customer service and the outcome of the situation. read more

I asked the people running the estate sale today, who I learned names are Sydna and Susan, if they would accept $15 for an item that Susan said was $20 and no discounts TODAY. When I returned home to unload my treasures from my car, I discovered that the price tag on the item was $15 Then I'm checking out the rolls of ribbon I selected with no price tag and was told at checkout they were $2 each. The original retail price per roll is $2.99! When asked if tomorrow would be 1/2 off, I was told it's a 3 day sale. Per the Ad it ended today. Is Susan on commission? As a 20+ year estate sale customer, I am very selective when deciding if I will spend my valuable time shopping an estate sale. The company running the estate sale can be a total no go for me. Hope the extra $7 you squeezed out of a now non-returning customer was worth it. read more

Worst experience Ever! I'm not recommending to visit or work with the company. Very unprofessional! Unpleasant experience - the list was ignored. They let crowd walk not in order. When someone complain- no response! The rest people are waiting in line - Und suddenly staff calling couple from the end of the line ! Explaining everyone that those are friends and neighbors and they are preferred!!! 90 % advertised goodies wasn't on display. I was answered- the family decided to keep some . Apparently "the family " kept all of the juicy pieces,leaving only broken and big furniture behind. I was in group of the first 5 people: no way the good staff was bought by someone- it was not in house at all .90% of advertised item was Gone before the sale open ! The prices are beyond the sky! Even for broken staff. They told the sale is Hi End- which was not true- all the hi end pieces were gone before doors was open. And just very regular dishes and staff was on display. Nothing was true or according the pictures or description they told online! I'm very disappointed! Never trust Them ! read more

Second time going to one of their sales and the same experience. They stage the sale with very good items, then removed them before the sale. When inquire about those item they use the same response "The owner decided to keep them". Selling stuff from ROSS and saying is from the 1800 century just to overprice the item. Their sign in list, another joke. They don't honor it, not even look at it, just let people in by groups. So if you are in the back waiting for your name to be call, good luck. They let people in whoever is close by the door and then stop if they are to many in already. Won't be attending to any of their sales no more. read more
