I love a good farmer's market and this one at Bonita Springs inside the Promenade shopping center…read morewas great to browse and shop at! They have a bit of everything, fresh produce, great fruits and vegetables selection. The heirloom tomatoes we got were flavorful and tasty. There are many vendors to choose from and many ethnic foods to entice you: French, Mexican, Polish, Middle Eastern, Italian, Indian, a bit of everything. We got great pastries from the French bakeries (croissants, cherry danishes) and fun churros from the Mexican stall. Decisions, decisions. A bit of everything: soaps, home decor, flowers, jewelry, all home made. Lots of bakeries also, with good looking product, very diverse, and beautiful displayed. The market goes from Oct- April. The parking is a tad difficult. I enjoyed shopping here and I was impressed by the great selection, nice vendors and beautiful (and tasty products). If you are in the area, check it out. It's worth waking up earlier on a Saturday to check it out!

We were looking for things to do in Fort Myers and Sun Harvest Citrus popped up on the list. This…read moreplace is easy to spot with the giant orange out front. I was unsure of how worthwhile stopping at a citrus market place would be, but we had some time to kill and Sun Harvest Citrus ended up being such a good find! There's plenty of parking. As we walked up to enter the market, everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) was eating ice cream from here. These people got the memo - the ice cream is where it's at! They also have a juice bar in the back where you can sample the fresh juices. I don't even like orange juice and even I found the cranberry orange and strawberry orange juices to be sweet, delicious, and refreshing - the perfect treat in the Florida heat. They had other flavors like grapefruit juice, classic orange juice, tropical orange (pineapple), and a peach orange. Juices are available by the half gallon and single bottles. They even had a chips and salsa sample which is also made fresh. We grabbed some local tasty treats as souvenirs - popcorn, salt water taffy, jerky, coffee, cookies, etc. They also have homemade key lime pie - available by the whole pie, half, and slice. And of course, we had to get the ice cream! I got the orange dreamsicle cone, which is their orange soft serve and vanilla swirled together. Great flavor, great texture - no complaints! There was also a key lime flavor (also delicious) in addition to more classic flavors. They have three sizes - kiddie, single, and jumbo. The kiddie size was the perfect little pick-me-up treat. You can also get fresh juices and other bakery items. We found a coupon in one of our Florida brochures for the ice cream which they honored without issue. We also saw a coupon for the big bottles of juice. There's a couple tables inside and additional benches and tables outside to sit and enjoy your goods. Sun Harvest Citrus did not disappoint! It was a nice pit stop.

Very touristy but love the free samples of orange juice. My personal favorite was the peach orange…read morejuice but they had a ton of different flavors. Parking wasn't bad and if you're looking for a souvenir from Florida then this is the place to go and you can definitely spot where you are by driving down the road and seeing a big metal orange. This place is full of souvenirs to potentially bring back: spices salt, and pepper, shakers, alligator jerky, Florida, popcorn, coconut candies, etc. I love that you can have samples of the juices before buying. They even had some salsa and chip samples. They are shown to have a coupon in the touristy maps and guides. One where you can use to actually get a discount on your ice cream. I ordered the dreamsicle which is the most popular, but I didn't have a chance to look at the sizes and after ordering realized that the lady, I just put me in for the regular size which was too much sugar for me. If it does, though she was kind of rushing me which I didn't love. Also, if you're wanting to use the coupon, you have to have your own copy and cut it out/rip it out. And it's also one per order. I also ordered the Keylime pie. I like the filling. It had a very much coconut flavor probably because they use more coconut milk, but their crust on it was not very good. The cream score was actually pretty good. It was a hot day so it melted pretty quickly, but I liked the orange thing that it had and balanced with the vanilla.

I love that it's all under a roof. Some shops even have AC. You'll find the junkiest junk and the nicest of the nice! The shop keepers seem to stand by their posted prices. My experience was there's not a lot of negotiation room. If you pay with cash, they usually skip the tax but that's about it. Now having said this, I was buying from the 'nicest of the nice', brand new purses, clothes and accessories. Parking is free and abundant. Expect large pot holes in the parking lot. IMPORTANT ADVICE: pay attention to where you came in! It is easy to lose your way and you will spend a frustratingly long time trying to find your car if you don't make mental note of your arrival 'gate'. There's colored lines on the ground. If there's a shop you particularly like, ask for their business card...it'll have their 'address' on it which shows the color of their row and the shop number. MY PERSONAL FAVORITE: ladies, if you like boutique style clothes, look for Designs by Darlene. Red row. Her clothes are off the charts!!! Unique. Well priced. And she has changing rooms. Highly recommend!

What an experience…read more.. I'm a self-proclaimed thrifting fanatic, and I grew up loving to go to flea markets and priced-per-pound places with my grandma. Maybe it was the heat, but this fleamarket just wasn't hitting when I visited. SETUP: You can really get your steps in here! Park and remember where you parked, then head in. Tons of shops to explore - like miles of it - and it's all covered. It's open air so no AC, but many shops have fans and some have AC running. They have each lane color coded on the floor, so you can remember you started in the red lane, then went to blue, etc. We still got lost haha. FOOD/DRINK: There are restaurants and bars here! Very fun to get a beer to drink while you walk. Most of the food was food truck style - pretty greasy and hot, which didn't appeal to us. SHOPS: This was the disappointing part for me. Maybe it's just not my style, but I was bummed to see it was mostly cheap bulk items and poorly made stuff at that. The t-shirt shops were selling cheap, misprinted Fort Myers stuff - but the prices weren't that crazy good? And they didn't have true tourist stores with souvenirs more than just t-shirts. Some of the shoe stores had some decent deals, a few record store scores, and I LOVED the few well-curated vintage shops inside. But otherwise, it was a lot of stuff I happily passed on. Some of the vendors were a bit pushy (the spa/skincare ones) but otherwise most left us be to browse. Even as a fan of thrifting, I found this to be overwhelming and underwhelming at the same time and likely won't be back.
