They have a wide range of stock with a range of items out front that is updated frequently. My favourite of which was an antique Dentist's tool with a foot pump that powered a hydraulic hose used to turn the dentist's drill! Not always so macabre, often you will find a nice piece of antique furniture or an old fire place sitting out front, proudly on display for all to see. Upon entering the shop you find much more inside than you might think with antique dressers and items that might have come out of Canal boats and be warned if you do enter with an Antiques enthusiast, you won't be leaving anytime soon, as the place opens up to reveal more and more, but then you could always slink off to the Prince next door.

Then the owner told me they had another two floors, one of them solely had items on sale. The furniture is very well kept and the prices are good, considering. It's easy to get lost inside the store, you could be in there hours. I bought a nice antique mirror for ten pounds. It is worth taking a look in there if you are an antique enthusiast or even if you just like to have a mooch, like me!

Well I did, they have the exact same shade of carpet that I had prior to it's juicy makeover. They also have a lot of general, decorative, house stuff from laminate flooring, rugs and a range of furniture. I purchased the 6 x 6 foot piece of carpet and it's temporarily wedge in the place where the old carpet once stood. Quite a simple solution and I am (now) grateful that I had a local furnishings store that could swiftly aid me in rectifying my clumsy act.

To be honest, initially I wasn't sure I was going to find what I was after when I first went in, but my first impressions were wrong. They have a good range of quality vinyl products available to them. There are sone sample books over at the far end of the shop that are really quite good and although they obviously don't have them all in stock their time between order and delivery were within 5 days so I was really pleased with that too. On a practical level, it's lovely to be able to wander around a shop with a pushchair and not have to worry about space, knocking things, running into people's legs etc. The guys who came to fit it also did a good job, quick and professional. I paid the delivery guys separately as they are contracted by NCF, but they were good value. Plus, a friend of mine couldn't tell it was vinyl on the floor and thought they were real tiles-result!

I wouldn't spend my money here, none of it really does anything for me. It all feels a bit dated and of a particular style that conjures up the image of a living room with laminate floor boards, a huge tv, leather sofas, garnished with some trinkets and fake flowers. Not a vision I ever intend to realise. You may find a gem or two depending on what your tastes are. Even though I can barely recall buying anything from here in all the years I've lived in and around South Brum, and B14 in particular, I almost always pop my head around the door when I'm on the high street, just on the off chance there is something AMAZING. There very rarely is, but this is really just a matter of taste. There is a decent amount of stock to browse through and you might find something for your house here. The prices are, from what my limited knowledge of the furniture and home furnishings market tells me, fairly competitive. At Christmas time the alleyway that leads to this shop off the High Street is a very good place to get a Christmas tree.
