The first time I drop my clothes off I gave them my laundry detergent to clean my clothes with and they did not use the detergent. The second time I spoke to the manager and told him what happened and I decided to give them a benefit of the doubt so I dropped off my clothes there again with my laundry detergent. But again I picked up my clothes and my laundry detergent was not used again! Not only that my clothes smelled dirty and look dirty! Who would want to pay for a service like that? DO NOT use their pick up/drop off service. They'll tell you they're dropping off your stuff next day and it's a lie. This is now TWICE they've picked up on tuesday and didn't drop off the next day. They also don't deliver on thursday so, you have to wait till friday. I have already called 9 times today. They said my stuff would be dropped off by 6pm. It's now 9:50pm and I still DON'T HAVE MY LAUNDRY. They over charge. They don't believe in good customer service. Once a upon a time this use to be a bank, and now it's a place to do your laundry , at anytime and any hour. The machines are made for card use. Remember when we use to add coin lol. Now all you have to do is swipe and it start, but make sure that the card is facing the right way. In order to under stand it, the card has a small gold symbol in front of it, that's the part that you insert. Trust me the first time we had problems, but now we are pro's. Hey, this laundry was a bad idea!!! Usually, the dryer is about .25 cents for 5 minutes. In other laundry's It usually would take me 20 minutes($1) to dry my clothes. I was disappointed with the dryer at ET laundry because it wasn't heated up a lot. I had to pay $2.50for one full dryer and my clothes were still a little wet. I was disappointed because I had 5 dryers in total and wasted my money on coins that didn't heat up a lot. Never would I go again to this place. Overall the customer service is great the lady is kind, but the dryer is the only issue. ET Is in desperate need of an upgrade, renovation, and a thorough cleaner. Been coming here for years because this area lacks an abundance of laundromats, but am considering going the extra mile and walking to somewhere further because the washers here are extremely filthy, like when you put your clothes in there is literal dust and other nasty stuff in the crevice of the washer doors that has been there for God knows how long. I live in the Soundview area of the Bronx but frequent the Throg's Neck area for other purposes. On the day I first decided to start doing drop off service, I drove through the Westchester Square, Tremont Avenue, section until I found a laundromat that I liked. Once I came upon ET I thought it was clean, their were many drop off bags visible from the door which told me that people frequented the location often. All were good signs of the professionalism of this establishment. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago. I dropped off 3 bags of laundry and was told I can pick the clothes up on Tuesday and my dry cleaning on Wednesday. I returned on Tuesday (maybe even Monday) and picked up my clothes. The 3 bags were condensed into 2 bags, which is normal for the folding abilities of the women there. When I started unpacking the bags at home I noticed a few extra items that didn't belong to me. It turns out I had no whites in my bag. NONE. Every single white item I dropped off was gone. Socks, tshirts, dress shirts, sleeping clothes, GONE. I returned the extra items to the laundromat and was told that the owner would contact me in regards to reimbursement. It's been 2 weeks and I've left message after message after message. Not only at the Castle Hill location but at the Tremont Avenue location. My next course of action is small claims court. What a shame that what seemingly looks like a reputable facility is really a unprofessional establishment that clearly doesn't value their customers. I've had my last visit. Update on 12/12/13: My clothes have been found. Lack of communication on the part of the owner/manager resulted in a 2 month delay. Not ideal but I am pleased to not take further action. read more

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! TOO PRICEY TO BE NASTY!!!! They also have another location at 1190 Castle Hill in the Bronx. My review is for that location. I have been using their delivery service for almost a year. I found it pricey, but there was no other person I could find who offered delivery service in my area. I usually call an hour or two prior to pickup with no issues. I called this past Saturday and the person on the phone acknowledged what I wanted and verified my account. Three hours later no show. I called back and she told me she will call the driver and will call me back. She did and stated that the driver will be there in 40 minutes. That was at 9 pm. I stayed up until 11:30...no call no show. The next morning at 7:30 am, I bring my clothes to the Laundromat, explained what happened and asked to speak with a manager. I was told the manager wasn't available and I would have to call the store. I asked when will the manager be available. Neither she nor the other person working there knew. The woman at the counter goes into this diatribe about how she wasn't there last night, she's not an employee, just asked to do clothes overnight, and she didn't take my call. I'm like what does this have to do with the cost of tea in China. I really don't care about your employment status. I want to speak with the owner. That is what I asked to do from jump. I'm like fine just take my clothes and know I won't be back. She then tells me I have to wait until the next day to get my clothes. I THINK NOT!!!! I explained that it was her people that dropped the ball and because of such my clothes should be done today. I also stated that I need to again speak to a manager. I do not have the time to call the store and hope that the manager/owner will be there. If you have a time I will call during that time, but if not, provide me with their number and I will call them myself. She refused. I then asked her to call the owner as there has to be a number for her to call in case of an emergency. She dials some number and gets the answering machine and leaves a message. For all I knew, she could have been calling her own cell phone. She refused to give me any information on the owner. After going back and forth with her, I finally took my clothes back and left. It was clear she was not trying to help me, did not care that they had me waiting for 5 hours the previous day for a no call/no show. Didn't even try to apologize for the inconvenience. And have no regard for customer service. That is not the place to go. They will never get my business again and I would avoid it like the plague!!! read more

I just recently moved into the area and was looking for a drop-off location for my laundry and decided to give this place a shot, despite the poor reviews. Poor choice on my part. I elected to use their delivery service at $1 per pound with a promise of a 24-hour turn around. The pick-up was fine, they came within the 3 hour window, however the return did not happen. They said it would be returned by 9pm on Wednesday night. At around 9:30pm I called to inquire and was told they would have to call me back. The man I spoke to promptly called me back and said that they could deliver that night, but it would be after 11pm. I told him that was ok, as I needed the laundry and I didn't plan on being home to receive it the next night. 11pm came and went with no delivery. The next afternoon I went there after work to retrieve my laundry and I was told that it was at the other location in Castle Hill and if I wanted it today I would have to go there myself and get it as they do not deliver on Thursdays. Additionally, they still charged me $1 per pound (delivery price) as opposed to $.85 per pound, the drop-off price, despite the fact that I had to pick it up at a location miles away. Next laundry day I will be trying one of the 5 locations that I passed on my quest to rescue my clothes from Broken Promiseland. read more

This place used to be great for laundry pick up and drop off. The delivery guy was so nice and there was a lady who folded and organized my laundry so nice, that I took her gifts! Now.... both the great folder and the nice delivery guy left. Three pairs of designer jeans went missing from the laundry they picked up, as well as my son's school uniforms over several pick ups. I alerted the staff, and the owner (an older Asian male) was rude and shrugged off my concerns and complaints. Nothing was done and my clothes are gone. The customer service is terrible. I took my laundry here for 7 years, and now I will NOT let them handle my laundry. They were lucky to have good people working for them before, but it's terrible now. If you don't want your laundry mixed up or stolen, do not use ET. read more

This is the worst laundromat I have ever been too. The washers are dirty on the top and also inside. I asked a "worker" what was inside the washers and he said it looked like gum. The mold smell is stronger towards the back of the laundromat so they keep the back door open. I visibly watched the same "worker" take clothes he just washed and threw them on the FLOOR not a laundry basket the FLOOR then he picked them up and put them in the dryer with stickers on the door. I could not believe he was washing customers clothes like that. I recorded it on my boyfriends phone so I will upload it later but I had to write this now. I left my information so the "manager" could call me and she did not. I just showed up and made a complaint. The reason for my complaint is while loading my washing machine putting the soap in on the top it was just "recently" wiped down by the same worker since I just complained about the washer being dirty I moved on to the next row and he assured me it had been clean so when putting in my soap bleach was on the top of the washer and my whole sleeve was soaked. My Ralph Lauren sweater is ruined and the "workers" response was it still looks fine to me. Leaving my information for the manager to call me to fix the situation was me being level headed and giving them a chance to make it right. Instead all I have now is plans to go back in two hours because I know the laundromat has to keep the place clean. IT IS THE LAW. Plus I just googled that the place hasn't been inspected since 2011 so that means a fire can happen at any time. FYI. I have been getting the pick up and drop off service for sometime now. It has been getting worse over the past year . My clothes come home ripped, dirty and then even some missing. Heck I even get some clothes that are not mine when they finally deliver it. The driver comes hrs late or not at . To make it worse they don't even call to tell you they are not showing up. They just make you wait and tell you they will be with in 30 mins but never come. This happend to me 3 times already . I decided to go with another company now instead. This is the absolute worst laundromat with the most horrendous customer service I have ever received. First let me say that I was a customer of their drop off service for years. I brought my laundry there on a weekly basis. They continuously were giving me laundry that belonged to other people - and I would return it. Then I would notice things were missing from my laundry. I let many many things slide. When I told the extremely rude owner that I have been receiving items belonging to others and missing some of mine - he brushed me off and said oh well it happens. Then finally they lost a very expensive item of clothing - a Giants jersey. I called the owner and told him what had happened. He told me 'well maybe you go somewhere else to do your laundry and we no do for you anymore' in a very nasty snotty undermining tone. I explained that I had been a loyal customer for years and this was a horrible way to treat me considering they were at fault - and he still continued to argue with me even though I was polite. I at least expected an apology - maybe a credit of some sort - but I got nothing whatsoever. I have never been treated so poorly by an owner of an establishment in my life.If I could give this place -5 stars I would.
