It has been almost 3 years since our wedding, yet I still have the photos plastered all over my house and social media pages. They're TOO GOOD not to share. Where to begin? Well the initial consultation was quick and painless. My husband and I are incredibly indecisive people, yet Ethan was able to give us choices that satisfied everything we could've imagined. The experience was amazing. We went to four different locations in the span of one day, each location being unique and equally beautiful. My husband and I are also very VERY shy people. After being overwhelmed during our online search for photographers, we met Ethan at a wedding fair. What sold him to us were his kind demeanor and incredibly vivid photos. He specializes in pre-wedding sessions, and his book of work in this area is quite impressive, especially with his international shoots. While we did not purchase a pre-wedding session from him, he applied his same artistic touch to our engagement and wedding photos. Ethan is such an artist, and it shows in his excitement during our sessions. During the engagement shoot, he gave us great pointers on posing, which included tips on how to make your arms look skinnier (usually a big pain point for me)! He went over our allotted time for both the engagement session and wedding, and didn't seem to mind at all. He was just really in the zone! In terms of pricing, he is very reasonable given the quality of his work. His turnaround time is longer than normal, but just be assured that the pictures will be worth the wait! We hired Ethan's team to shoot our Chinese wedding ceremonies and reception and he was fantastic. Parts of the Chinese wedding ceremonies require the bride and groom to start at 2 different locations so Ethan and a colleague each showed up *early* to meet us at the agreed time. They worked with us from 8am to 10pm tirelessly and never slowed or complained. Not only so, they are full of ideas and initiatives and always capturing moments for us that I didn't even think about. There were a few hours gap between our Chinese ceremonies and the reception, and they went with us to an offsite where they did a photoshoot of us and the bridal / grooms party. A lot of photographers would take the opportunity to charge this session as a whole separate session, but Ethan did not. You can tell that he loves his work and is doing it for the passion, not to penny-pinch. We cannot be happier with the results! read more

We were actually very picky about choosing our photographer, and had so many requests and questions about it. My husband and I wanted to have some pictures taken while we were on our honeymoon in San Francisco. I found Ethan via Groupon and the experience was fantastic. We took photos at Golden Gate Park and they are outstanding. Having already taken engagement and wedding photos we weren't exactly camera shy but Ethan was very conscience of making sure we were comfortable and having fun. I purchased a voucher through Groupon for a 2 hr photo shoot and 3 photos. The voucher redemption instructions specified to call for an appointment, which I did repeatedly. I left detailed messages, requesting specific dates and specifying the venues for the shoot. My calls were not returned. When I finally did receive a call back he told me that he was leaving the country the following day and only gave me a single available date before the voucher was to expire. He also chastised me for not emailing him, yet there was no email provided and the instructions clearly stated I was to call. He went on to tell me that it was a photo shoot only, saying no photos were included. He then told me that the photos provided would be sample photos only, so would not be usable. While he may a great photographer, he professionalism is sorely lacking. I would definitely use with caution! read more

Ethan was my photographer for my wedding late August. He was very accommodating, and very professional. The wedding venue was an outdoor location during sunset hours, therefore, the light changed rapidly, very beautiful but hard to capture. Ethan was able to capture the most beautiful moment during the sunset and showed me the pictures he took, they were breath-taking, exactly what i wanted.
