On day of measurement had to call them when they weren't there and was told that they were looking at the wrong day on the schedule (they did come an hour late). Paid quote in full to get the install booked. Then had to track them down again to get on the schedule. We had no intention of including removal of our old floor, but Kevin asked if we would like them to rip out the old floor, so we said that would be great. Somebody else showed up to do the install (Nick?) and he refused to pull the old flooring, called and told me I had to take it down to a lab and have it tested for asbestos, then call them back and reschedule. Again - they offered to remove it, otherwise it would have already been up and ready for them when they showed up. Now Lumber Liquidators wants to send somebody else out, but because of these yahoo's we need to have our house inspected and certified free of asbestos - AGAIN THEY OFFERED TO REMOVE OR THIS NEVER WOULD HAVE BEEN AN ISSUE. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY - now we have to reschedule our contractor, our electrician, and our plumber who were all set to show up the rest of the week - Thanks PNW for taking forever to get out here and then leaving the job-site and adding another month to our remodel if we are lucky enough to get everything rescheduled.

Rose Petal is to Scary Maids as a Ferrari is to a Pinto. I was drawn in to Rose Petal to begin with because they offer benefits to their employees and do their part to elevate the profession of housekeeping (I also had a REALLY scary experience with a house cleaner I found in the EW). I stayed with them because they are fabulous. Whereas another housekeeper might come to your house and clean the same way each time, RPH provides ongoing training to their employees and utilizes a scheduling program so that all the neglected areas of your house get their just due. One visit might have a particular focus on windowsills, the next might be a lookout for spiders. Either way, your house is going to be cleaner than it ever has been. Another feature that I love about RPH is that they utilize your cleaning materials. So, you can be as obsessive as you want about the type of chemicals used in your home. The employees will leave you a note if you're running low on anything, and will also make environmentally-friendly suggestions about cleaning materials that may be more effective (Bon Ami, anyone?). Lastly, although the economy has busted me (at least temporarily), the prices at RPH are VERY reasonable. I pay less per hour for the work that they do than I do with any other cleaning company. Less pay for me, but fair pay for the employees and benefits to boot? Sounds like a winning combo.
