I've gone to this office for many years. During the past two years I've seen Dr. Ko and Dr. Yates there. Dr. Ko is no longer there and I found out he is now in Utah. He was great. I injured my toes on my left foot last week plus I have a very painful corn on my left little toe. I called to make an appointment. I am in a lot of pain. Beware of this place! It was my 1st appt. I am mobility impaired & walk with 2 canes. Have arthritis and scoliosis. Called receptionist for directions to parking lot. She spoke very poor English and gave me faulty directions that resulted in me having to walk around the block from the ADA spot behind Dutch Bros. I was in pain when I reached the entrance of the clinic. The front desk "ice princess" showed no concern for the pain I was in. She just told me to calm down. I was late due to the faulty directions & pain for me walking that far. Front desk ice cube told me it is their policy to make me reschedule because I was late, and made me walk the entire way around the block again. She threatened to call the cops. Not one drop of concern, just kept saying this is their "policy". What is she? An automated robot, some non-human? Can she only spit out recorded answers? Does she have a brain? Or eyes to see I'm mobility impaired and in pain due to their bad directions. I did walk back to my car, screaming in pain the whole way. Cars driving down Chambers St were stopping to ask if I needed help. I told them what had happened at Eugene Podiatry. They were appalled. I will never go back there. My father has been seeing Dr. Yates for over a year now. My father is 83 and has toenails like kryptonite. They are impossible for him or me to cut. Dr. Yates clips and trims his nails every three months and is always nice and chatty during our visits. Also, if there's any bleeding Dr. Yates can cauterize it, which is important since my dad is on blood thinners. My dad's copay is only $25. I honestly can't believe it's cheaper to see an MD for this than a manicurist, but it's real. read more

This place is scandalous and doesn't tell you how much your bill could come out to. I found out, after hours of calling, that I would end up owing $400 just for half of my wart removal treatment. I would recommend going to Walmart and getting the stuff to freeze it off yourself for $8-16. Get the cpt code and let your insurance know that info before you keep going to appointments read more

Pleasantly surprised is hardly the experience. There was no hurried from one team member to another instead blessed with a small waiting room and a fast and minimal team effort to the doctor. The small team could have not been more helpful and polite. My questions were all answered, and now I will be coming back on a regular basis for care, which matters a lot to me. Warning others: Eugene Podiatry Associates provided me with a plantar fascitis night splint made of plastic, foam, and velcro, then overcharged me 16x the retail price--$400 charge for a $25 item. I've been calling them and leaving messages with both people and voice mail since mid-August and finally got to talk to billing today. They insist that they are legally allowed to bill that much for durable medical equipment. My advice is to take a picture of any DME they want to give you, then look online or at a local store that won't overcharge 16 fold. Or find a more honest podiatry business. The podiatrist I saw seemed fine and he's probably not the one setting up DME fraud, but this is a shady practice that we don't need to feed. One more reason we pay so much for health care in this country. read more

My family and I have been a patient of Dr. Rex Smith for over 20 years. I guess about a 1 and half he retired, so when I called to make an appointment to see him, the receptionist told me he had retired and another doctor took over. I explained that my bad foot was not doing well and I was sure what I did, but needed it looked at. I could barely walk. She told me they could give me an appointment on 1-3-19 @11:20a I said my insurance had changed and I had a $35 copayment. Unfortunately I don't get paid til 1-11-19, is that a problem. She said it shouldn't be When I checked in @11am this morning, the receptionist told my insurance card made a copy and gave it back. I sat down and waited for my appointment The called me up to the counter, told me needed to my $35 copayment. I tried to explain to her that I thought I already talked to someone about that and that i got paid on Friday the 11th, they can hold a check or keep my card number. She told me i needed to pay today, but she would speak to the doctor I sat down again feeling embarrassed, everyone in waiting room could hear the conversation, she called me back up again and told me I would need to reschedule. Mind I took off work to go to this appointment and I can barely walk. I told to never mind I would just continue to suffer and thanked her nothing and wasting time read more

Dr. Scott Robertson was amazing. I went to have a painful ingrown toenail assessed. Dr. Robertson shared that he could take care of my big toe that same morning. I was concerned that the numbing portion of the procedure would be extremely painful as I had friends who had this procedure elsewhere explain that for them the numbing medication was injected under the toenail and was excruciatingly painful. For me the entire procedure was painless! Dr. Robertson numbed my toe slowly and gently, "freezing" the area first. He was so thorough in his explanation of what would happen and how the recovery should proceed. I would recommend him to anyone who wants a knowledgeable, caring Podiatrist who puts his patient's concerns first. P.S. Dr. Robertson had performed this same procedure on his own toe, so he knew exactly how to make it as comfortable and effective as possible for his patients. What a great Doctor! I saw Dr Robertson yesterday, my first visit. My husband has been going to Dr. Robertson for over a year now and is happy with him. I talked to the doctor when he was treating my husband last month, and after explaining what had happened to my toe, he recommended an xray. The xray didn't show a broken bone in my foot, between the small toe and the 2nd toe. It DID show a broken bone on my little toe, incidental to the pain I was having from a heavy sawed off limb that landed between my two small toes. It has been a few months since the injury and I have still had pain and am limited to only two kinds of shoes. He checked the pulse in my feet and found one wasn't easy to find, the other was okay, but as he stretched my Achilles tendons, I was very tight. He recommended a few choices. I went with the running shoes he recommended, and am wearing them now. I like them, and they are designed to stretch the tendon, with a wider toe than standard athletic shoes. I have wide feet, high instep, and have problems with ingrown toenails. These shoes give my toes room to spread, so they are very comfortable. I wear a 9 1/2 C, and was thrilled to find my size in this shoe. They are called "ALTRA." Also, a "TMP" is on the side of each shoe. He also recommended trying "HOKA" running shoes, but I liked the Altra shjoes, so I never tried on the Hoka brand. I'll return in a month to see Dr. Robertson, and hopefully wearing these shoes will correct the way I've been walking, and allow the injury to heal. So far, I am very happy with Dr. Robertson. Their office has a lending library that I like, and the staff is very friendly. read more
