I am so sad to see such an awefull review of Back 2 Strength. I have been seeing Dr.Powell for over 10 years and am happier and healthier because of it! I am especially upset to read in that negative review that he "thinks of children as parasites!". This absolutely untrue, in fact I know exactly what that patient is referring to as he said the same to thing to me. When I was pregnant I saw Dr.Powell regularly (which was a god-send for my pregnancy!) and when I asked about fatigue and exhaustion during pregnancy he gave me the example of a baby being similar to a parasite in the sense that they get all the nutrition and necessary supplements to grow healthy before my body does- which is just like a parasite! This may sound insensitive, but it made complete sense to me and in no way was he calling my baby a parasite! In fact my baby is now 9 months old and I have been blown away at how child friendly this office is! Dr.Powell encourages me to bring her to appointments (in fact is sad when she doesn't come!) and there was one instance where I needed to get an x-ray while there which was unexpected and he arranged for one of the receptionists to hold my baby while I got the x-ray. He is so family friendly and genuinely cares about his patients and what is going on in their lives. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr.Powell and the entire back to strength staff! read more

So I'll start my review by mentioning that I had so much pain in my lower back that I couldn't make it to work one Monday morning. I came to Back 2 Strength on a recommendation of a colleague and had very nice things to say about the clinic. So I was welcomed very kindly by the front office and the wait time was relatively short (I shouldn't thank COVID-19 for anything, and I won't; when I'm in pain I need relief faster than Speedy Gonzales)! Dr. Gittens also kindly greeted me with his smile-inducing catch phrase, "I've been looking forward to seeing you all day!" I appreciated that he asked me plenty of questions while I told him about my back, so he'd know how to treat me. So of course he popped the discs in my back and I definitely felt relief from the pain I experienced. He also made sure that I received a list of stretches which I do pretty often to aid in my recovery. Overall, the folks at B2S absolutely care about my well being. After a few adjustments, I'm getting closer to 100% recovery and I'm glad they're able to help! read more

I would not recommend this person for anyone. I saw him once about a month ago and in my 1st appt he described kids (after knowing I have kids), even his own as parasitic infections. How they latch on and feed off the mother and are like parasites .I was stunned and shocked but thought maybe he was kidding. Well today I went in and it was just a few days after George Zimmerman was found not guilty of killing Travon Martin. Dr Powell walks in laughing saying no one has brought him any George Zimmerman jokes. I told him that wasn't funny, there was nothing in that situation that was funny. He said oh yes there is and kept laughing. I actually lost it and told him he was an ass and to screw off. He kept laughing and I said I feel like leaving. He told me to go ahead and leave. So I did. Mine you this was with my husband there and me just finishing 6 rounds of chemo. A total jerk with no sense of compassion or humanity. When i came to Back To Strength i was in a state of depression about my debilitating and painful condition i was in. I had been to other Chiropractors but without any results if not in more pain from misdiagnosing me. I had my first evaluation with Dr. Gittens and as i was explaining my symptoms he stops me and says, I KNOW WHATS WRONG! I literally felt the pain subside after my first visit. A few months ago I was rear ended and my neck and back hurt terribly. After going to the emergency room twice and only having pain medication shoved down my throat I was feeling hopeless. Finally someone suggested I go see a chiropractor. When I arrived I was greated with a huge smile by the receptionist and I was seen immediatly. Dr. Gittens is amazing! He was very patient explaining everything that had happened to my spine when the car hit me from behind, he even took the time to show me a short video as an example of the trauma my neck and spine went through. He set me up on a 12 week plan to recovery. I am now down to seeing him once a week and I am so happy I started to see him! He is very easy to talk to and he REALLY loves his job and his patients. Oh my goodness! Hands down Dr. Powell is the best Chiropractor, I've ever been to! I think he can tell you every part of the human body in his sleep. I'm a weekend worrier, so I tend to go hard randomly, playing sand volleyball, MMA, etc. Every time I have gone to see him, not only does he keep me in stitches with his sense of humor, he takes care of whatever is, "out of whack". I used to think chiropractors could only help with bones, however, he also has helped my muscles release so that bones could go back where they should be, with laser, and ultrasound. Dr. Powell was very friendly and funny! He even knew my previous Chiro and has good things to say about him too-very professional. I have not been able to have a full strength for a few years now, I would attempt and I would start to feel muscles and nerves begin to pinch, my range of motion as well with my neck was not great at all. I was also born with my hips dislocated as well- After my appointment I felt like a million bucks! Pinched nerves back pain. Very pleased with my experience at this facility. Dr. Brown is very knowledgeable. His communication and concern for detail was a invaluable asset on my road to recovery. Throughout the process he never hesitated to make adjustments better suited to address my personal care plan. I've been coming to Dr Greg Gittens for 20 years and can not possibly say enough good things about everyone at Back to Strength. I play golf almost every day year round and it can be very hard on my lower back but Greg and the gang always get me taken care of. I've won 5 Senior Club Championships at 2 different courses in that time frame and couldn't have done it without these guys. I have had lower back pain for years. I had been going to another chiropractor with hopes of him being able to relieve my pain. It would work for a few days, then I was right back to where I started.
