The trademark and designs registry of the European Union.
OHIM stands for "Office For Harmonization In The Internal Market". They are also known as OAMI which is the same thing in Spanish: "Oficina de Armonización del Mercado Interior"
This agency is awesome and they can do magic - register a trademark in all EU member states (28!), one application! Sounds quite mind blowing - they check if a trademark may conflict with any other local and European registered trademarks in all member states. And they do it pretty fast!
You don't have to visit the office, it's closed to general public and applications are filed online. The current online application fee is €900 (used to be more than €2000 several years ago). You will also pay an attorney if you hire one. There's a list of authorised intellectual property attorneys on their website. You can also hire an unauthorised attorney or file your application yourself if you know what you doing :) read more
