She also kindly gave us parking tips. My massage was with Sandeep who was incredibly strong and knowledgable. He gave me the deep tissue massage that I was looking for which left me feelng wonderfully relaxed. My husband raved about his masseuse, Konstantin. I've now been two or three times under the new ownership. Sadly, the previous staff is gone -- who can blame them given the rocky transition. I had one or two favourite therapists and I miss them. The staff size has also been reduced so there is way less availability during the day. The massage therapist I've been seeing is good, but overall I feel the facility is losing ground. The place used to be immaculate and really felt like a spa like experience. I was in there last week, and spa shoes were dirty (they aren't cleaning them between clients - something I've noticed during previous visits), the floor has traces of salt and snow on it whereas it used to always be pristine, the decor is not as sleek as before -- there's a white leather couch that looks kind of tacky and holiday decorations that look the same. I always loved that they sent you away with a cup of hot tea. The tea is still there. I wasn't offered one during my last visit, but the time before was offered one -- so overall it's an inconsistent practice and I feel too silly to ask when not offered. I probably won't be returning once I use up my massage series, unless these new folks up their game soon.

A neighbouring client talked loudly for the entire hour, which completely disrupted what should have been a relaxing experience. He also recognizes points that are tight and works out those knots. What I love about this place is the service, quality of massage and the setting. This place looks into the river and it's very quiet when you walk in. You don't hear the therapists talking away and that's what I don't want when I'm in a session. The service is one of the best. You're greeted in the waiting area with some slippers and a warm towel infused with a lemongrass scent to wash your hands. They add on about $75 worth of extras for free including hot stone, heat lamp, full body wash, aromatherapy, a bunch more and the newest addition is cupping. With this cold making its way through my system it's exactly what I need. Now onto the massage, I like deep massages and they get it right here. You can request the pressure when you fill out the form in the waiting area, along with the extras (free) that you want, and show them the areas to focus on and avoid. I always leave this place feeling better than when I arrived. What makes a massage good for me are; pressure, hand strength of the therapist and how fluid their motion is on my body. Some I've had elsewhere feel choppy and just not right. I've had reflexology, acupuncture and feet massages here and those were amazing as well. I love a long, good feet massage. I had a massage with Nataliya and not only did she greet me in a warm and professional manner immediately, she made me feel at ease and comfortable in her professionalism and tone and mannerisms. Now I don't usually write reviews, but I had to take the time to appreciate and commend Nataliya on what an amazing job she did and the great experience I had with her. I would highly recommend this spa and Nataliya to all of my friends, co-workers and family as I think everyone should have an amazing experience as I did. The only downside was I was poorly received by the front staff member working the day of Saturday January 19. The reason I sought this spa out was because of the amazing reviews I read online about it and was highly disappointed by the unprofessionalism and curt and rude way I was treated the second I walked in the door.
