I knew I would have to travel a fair distance to view/test drive this car, so I phoned first and spoke to Peter. I was assured of the condition, and general details of the car to such an extent, that I instantly felt very confident, and felt I was genuinely dealing with a very honest and trustworthy company. I had to phone back a few times over the next few days to arrange when I would be able to come, and also to arrange insurance and road tax. This was when I first spoke to Raymond, and I have to say, again I came off the phone, satisfied and confident that the car would be everything I was told it would be. I phoned yet again, a day before I left to confirm everything was ok, and also to get directions from the main Train Station in Edinburgh. I was instantly told by Raymond, to phone him when I got to the station and he would come and pick me up. This, I thought was an extremely kind gesture, considering the garage is a good 3 miles from Edinburgh city centre. When I arrived at the garage, I found the car to be exactly as advertised, and exactly as described by both Raymond and Peter. We took it out for a good test drive, and along the way had a good chat and laugh with Raymond. Once we arrived back at the garage, I was smitten and didn't need any further convincing. At this point I met Peter and found him to be as friendly and welcoming as Raymond. Along with an already very good price for a very good car, PHJ also covered the cost of my first year's road tax, along with a £25 top up of fuel. Something I certainly didn't expect! All in all a very pleasant experience, and would highly recommend both the high standard of cars, and also the high standard of customer care that I received. I have already recommended them to friends and family, and would certainly remember them again in the future.

My MOT was up and I thought I needed new tyres. I drove along Carstophine Road and saw the sign…read more"Kwik Fit" clearly displayed on top of a garage building. "Let's try it out, I thought". Normally they offer discounts and right I was. Tyres can be expensive, so why not choose wisely. They have a small office. I entered and found two people operating behind the front desk. Both were very welcoming and offered their help and a cup of tea/coffee from the vendor machine in the corner. I received several quotes: with and without insurance, for popular and branded models as well as for standard tyre makes. Luckily there was not much going on in the yard and they were all very willing to change my tyres right there, right then. I got a quote and decided to go for two new tyres after having been briefed on their current state, which was not so good. They explained why my tyres are old and the possible reason for not having a good grip on the road surface. I am giving this place a five star, because the service was fast, efficient, friendly, quick and affordable.

My MOT was due and Kwikfit offered to do the test for 30 pounds, so off I went to the nearest one…read moreto where I live which is the one on the Corstorphine Road. My car is only 4 years old and doesn't have that many miles, so everything should still be fine. Kwikfit however failed the MOT telling the front breaks are releasing unevenly and suggested the brake disks would need to be replaced. They refused to give me estimated costs for this, but I found out online they would be charging about 400 pounds to have that done. I doubted the failure however and went to another garage and had this point looked into. They told me the breaks were fine and release of the front-breaks was spot-on. I had the MOT done in yet another garage who also confirmed the breaks were just fine and the MOT was passed without touching the breaks. I would avoid this Kwikfit at all costs. They do allow you to take a coffee in the waiting area which is nice but doesn't make up for them trying to deceive me.

The wheel alignment they also carried out fixed the slight pull to the left. The downside is the waiting area, I don't know when it was last cleaned but it has been a while. It could do with a thorough clean.

My car recently failed it's MOT due to a faulty Catalytic Converter. I remembered I'd had a new one…read moreinstalled 20 months ago at Kwik Fit, Dunfermline. On calling to enquire if this was covered under warranty I was reassured, without hesitation, that it was (for three years) and told to bring my car in. A new Catalytic Converter was ordered and fitted withing 24 hours, no questions asked. The member of staff who dealt with me from start to finish was Liam, He was professional, polite and friendly and kept me informed at every stage. I was very happy with the service provided by Kwik Fit who proved true to their after sales commitments . Excellent service.

This company's service, attitude and charges are appalling of which I had first hand experience…read morewhen the Toyota Aygo, ( a courtesy car I had been lent by Bodywyse in Kirkcaldy) which I was driving broke down on the A92 on Saturday 31st March, 2018. Although I parked it off the carriageway and in a safe place within the chevrons by the verge, within about 90 minutes it had been towed away by Fife Accident Repair on instructions of the police while I was away trying to find help. Fife Accident Repair made no effort whatsoever to contact the owners of the vehicle to alert them as to the situation even though their name and telephone number were displayed very clearly on the side of the car and accordingly I assumed it had been stolen until I contacted the police. Thereafter, Fife Accident Repair placed every barrier which they could in my way to prevent me collecting the car in order to maximise their charges which totalled £504 by the time they finally agreed to release it five days later. They lied to me and claimed they had told me on the phone to bring my driving licence when in fact I had specifically asked them this and they had said that it was Bodywyse who had to produce any identification not me. They also lied and said that they had told me to arrange an appointment to collect the vehicle which is also untrue. Finally, they had failed to tell me when notifying me of their exorbitant charges (£504 to tow a tiny Aygo a distance of 7 miles is outrageous) that they do not accept payment by debit or credit card and only by bank transfer, cheque or cash. All this confusion was created by their mismanagement of the situation but their manager/director delighted in causing the maximum level of inconvenience to me when I called to recover the vehicle which they ought never to have impounded in the first place. It is extremely important that people are warned about these sharp practices to protect unwitting motorists from their larceny, discourtesy and unprofessionalism.

After using a Ford dealer for several years, out my Mondeo in here for service, MOT and to have a…read morelarge dent in the door repaired. They also reconditioned the alloy wheels. The place is run by a friendly Italian guy who took time to explain the options and prices. It took 2 days to complete as originally advised and they have done a superb job all round and the cost was a lot less then going to Ford. Highly recommended.
