There are two rooms, which is nice, and one has beautiful wooden flooring, which seems well-maintained and makes for a lovely space. I took a beginner ballet class that was amazing. It's probably the first adult ballet class I've taken where the teacher was not just encouraging, but also seemed to take adult dancers seriously. I felt safe with her corrections and she seemed incredibly knowledgeable about the craft. The students in this class were kinder and more laid back than some of the other studios I've tried out so far, so totally loved the beginner ballet class here because it seems to be community-oriented. I'm only knocking off stars because the studio is HOT, and not in a sexy way. I thought I would collapse from the heat inside that room. It wasn't just hot; it was sticky and humid in there, which is not something I have ever experienced before. There are fans in the studio, but they don't do much to help with cooling down the space. Other dancers were just taking off clothes and walking outside to try to catch their breath. It's pretty remarkable how much hotter it gets inside the studio than even the weather outside, so that made me a little nervous about potentially returning during weeks when the weather is above 80-degrees. It's horrendous. I love Ballet and really enjoyed the class I took, but wish there was a way to cool the place down. Not sure how safe it is to do ballet or any form of physical activity there if you are heat-sensitive, so just be warned about that. It's very much an issue, especially during these months when the weather is 90+. That's a liability waiting to happen.

It's a great mix that keeps things fresh while still honoring the roots and culture behind twerk. You leave feeling empowered, energized, and honestly just happier. The environment here is just really welcoming overall. The staff, instructors, and owners are all incredibly friendly and supportive. I recently joined their dance training team and I've genuinely been learning so much while also having an amazing time. The training pushes you to improve but still keeps things fun and motivating. One really cool thing about Ruts is that K-pop idols and industry dancers occasionally stop by the studio, which says a lot about how respected and well-known the studio is in the community. Also, if you've never taken a dance class before, don't be intimidated at all. From the aesthetic to the instructors to the students themselves, this place has a welcoming atmosphere to all dance levels and I feel comfortable to explore dancing with all the different styles of dance they offer. Their social media presence is also great! They are constantly updating their social media (Instagram) with up to date info on each week's/day's classes such as the instructor or the song/combo they'll be teaching. The linked website is also relatively easy to use and it's pretty simple to register for classes. I mainly come for the Hip-Hop and Kpop classes they offer and I enjoy them a lot! Coming into the studio, they check you in and have you wait in the comfy waiting area before the class starts. The dance studio itself is pretty roomy and there's long mirrors up front. They also offer other dance studio spots at the property that you can rent out for private rehearsal or 1:1's. For rates it's usually $20-$25 for a 1 hour 30 min class depending on the instructor and what they're teaching. The classes usually take place from 6pm - 10:30pm (3 classes a night) during the week and another 3 classes from afternoon to night on Saturday's. For parking, it's street parking but I'd say it's relatively easy to find a spot nearby. If you're in LA, I'd definitely recommend hitting this place up for a class or 2!

Yes there's limited meter parking, but there are streets that let you park from 8-8pm without a permit for 2 hours - bring water you will sweat! - you can walk in with a bag of your clothes and additional shoes since they have dressing rooms - come with a friend if you're shy and so they can record you if you want - make sure your phone is charged so you can ask someone to record what you learned - remind yourself that you're here to have fun! I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. Everything Reyana has created at RFTB is magical. It's so much more than just dance. The confidence, independence, focus, coordination, and sense of belonging my daughter has gained here have carried over into so many other parts of her life. Her first day of preschool? Tear-free, because dance had already taught her that she could confidently walk into a room, say goodbye to Mom, and have an amazing time. Tennis? She's been moved up to an older age group because her coordination and ability to listen and focus are so strong. I see little pieces of what she's learned at Reach show up everywhere. But beyond all of that, the place is just PURE JOY. The teachers are the absolute sweetest, my daughter adores being there, and it has become such a special part of her childhood. And the recitals? This is for parents who bought a million dollar house in Atwater, and want to brag to their friends their kids are in some bougie premium priced class. To top it off, only ONE parent is allowed in the studio for the final performance at the end of the week. If the other parent wants to see the performance, you have to stand outside in the heatwave... no sitting around the inside perimeter or anything like that. Just outside in the sun cooking.

It is beyond disappointing because the teachers are great but their policies are awful and they…read moreseem to change person to person. I was on a waitlist once so i just showed up to the class hoping i could get in. After the class had started they let late people in who were over 5 minutes late and I wasn't able to take the class, which is fair enough...However I then had booked a class, couldnt find parking and was 2 minutes late for the class (their is a 5 minute grace period) I was told I couldnt take the class because they gave it to someone on the waitlist. But when I was the waitlist, the same did not occur. Then today I went to take my 9:15 class. I guess I had a $15 fee for missing a class, (My kid had been sick and they have a 12 hour cancellation policy) I keep a limited credit card on file there as one time I got a fraudulent charge for $125 from a meter outside their facility. So I offered to pay with Apple pay (which they take) But I was told they cant take the apple pay and I would need to go home and get my waller otherwise I couldnt take the class, I had already paid for. If I went home, I would have missed half the class. The gentlemen also said to me " We need a card on file. I explained that I can pay the card down when I get home and he said and I quote " This can't keep happening, this is how we run our business" But this had never happened before, I have had fees in the past, and they have always been paid. Its a shame as I mentioned because some of the teachers are awesome but theier rules are inconsistent at best and the delivery is rude and untruthful. I have had many memberships over the years and never have i had such inconsistent policies. I wont be going back again which is a shame.

Such a good burn and sweat, and she doesn't make her classes unnecessarily over complicated. There is a parking lot but it's quite tight and limited, so I would get there early. Easy metered parking right next to the lot if you can't get a spot. There is a shower as well with basic amenities.
