The environment here is just really welcoming overall. The staff, instructors, and owners are all incredibly friendly and supportive. I recently joined their dance training team and I've genuinely been learning so much while also having an amazing time. The training pushes you to improve but still keeps things fun and motivating. One really cool thing about Ruts is that K-pop idols and industry dancers occasionally stop by the studio, which says a lot about how respected and well-known the studio is in the community. Also, if you've never taken a dance class before, don't be intimidated at all. The studio is definitely beginner friendly and the instructors do a great job creating an encouraging atmosphere for all levels. Whether you're trying to seriously improve or just dance for fun, this is a great place to be.

From the aesthetic to the instructors to the students themselves, this place has a welcoming atmosphere to all dance levels and I feel comfortable to explore dancing with all the different styles of dance they offer. Their social media presence is also great! They are constantly updating their social media (Instagram) with up to date info on each week's/day's classes such as the instructor or the song/combo they'll be teaching. The linked website is also relatively easy to use and it's pretty simple to register for classes. I mainly come for the Hip-Hop and Kpop classes they offer and I enjoy them a lot! Coming into the studio, they check you in and have you wait in the comfy waiting area before the class starts. The dance studio itself is pretty roomy and there's long mirrors up front. They also offer other dance studio spots at the property that you can rent out for private rehearsal or 1:1's. For rates it's usually $20-$25 for a 1 hour 30 min class depending on the instructor and what they're teaching. The classes usually take place from 6pm - 10:30pm (3 classes a night) during the week and another 3 classes from afternoon to night on Saturday's. For parking, it's street parking but I'd say it's relatively easy to find a spot nearby. If you're in LA, I'd definitely recommend hitting this place up for a class or 2!

If you're new to the Playground here are some tips: - come early to find parking. Yes there's limited meter parking, but there are streets that let you park from 8-8pm without a permit for 2 hours - bring water you will sweat! - you can walk in with a bag of your clothes and additional shoes since they have dressing rooms - come with a friend if you're shy and so they can record you if you want - make sure your phone is charged so you can ask someone to record what you learned - remind yourself that you're here to have fun! You can get in your head when so many around you are so good and comfortable. Debut usually offers Kpop class series at different levels which can range from 2 weeks to a month. They also offer one day pop-up classes occasionally. You would need to reserve your spot at one of the classes online via their website. They also post what classes their teaching on Instagram and I like how they sometimes ask their students what Kpop songs they want to learn on there. Yireh, the owner and one of the instructors is great. I love taking her classes as she's super detailed and funny which makes the class enjoyable. The classes are shorter and pricier compared to other nearby dance studios, but what keeps me coming is the overall culture and vibe of this studio. Everyone is super nice and it's super friendly to all levels. The studio itself is nice and spacious. It is clean and well-maintained. There's also a parking lot downstairs with free and ample parking. There's even charging stations for electric cars.

I took the 6 week beginner shuffle program and it was a game changer if you want to learn how to shuffle. The beginner shuffle is every Monday 8pm-10pm. Highly suggest not missing any class because each class is packed with new moves. You learn all different kinds of moves and choreo. We had Brea and Mary Grace was our instructors and they are super awesome! They're super upbeat and always bring so much energy for a 2 hour class!! 2 hour class goes by super fast! I like that if you're struggling with how to move or any questions you have, they would break down the moves so it's comprehensible and answer any questions. Make sure you bring: good shoes, water and towel (if you sweat a lot) You can even record yourself, make sure the people behind you are ok with it. Restrooms in the building. Plenty of free street parking. Entrance: ring the bell for Gravity Dance because there are other companies sharing the building. The building is also super cool and the decor is so warehouse-like.

Our sons first love is dancing. He is also a very sensitive 9 year old. Loud noises and new situations make him nervous. He melted... The staff couldn't have been better at guiding him through his first audition. We were ready to let him quit and walking out the door when a parent came out and convnced us to stay. Once staff saw what was happending they all were amazing at calming and doing what they could to make him comfortable. They allowed him to sit and watch, which turned into him getting enough confidence to finally stand and perform. Thank you. ** Don't let the low rating fool you. Dig deeper. They're very good at what they do and I'd recommend the school to anyone who wants to further their knowledge of Korean dance whether you're Korean or not! It's a little hard to find because it's in the corner of a strip mall on Vermont and the windows are tinted so you can't see inside. I always find parking on the street on Sunday and it's free. Otherwise they have plenty of parking for the strip mall businesses. When you enter, there is a reception desk in the left and also some lockers to put your stuff in it. On the right there is coffee, tea and large water that you can use. Before you even think about stepping to the dance floor with your street shoes, there is a sign right in the floor to remind you to only wear dance shoes on the floor. The floor is always so clean and the entire facility as well. Large one bathroom in the back for everybody and gender. The monthly calendar is mostly all in Korean so I'm not sure if they teach in English. I'm the only non Korean in my Sunday class but the teachers also so the class is taught in English :) I'm glad I stumble in this place through the help of my teachers.

She was able to magically sweep my 5-year-old daughter away into a fairytale land where she imagined all of her favorite things and learned proper ballet techniques, strengthened and stretched her body, and had fun dancing with her friends. She loved it so much, we wished it was more than once a week and didn't stop for summer break. Something I would like to see more of is the teaching of short dance routines after all of the typical exercises they do. One thing that many of the parents were dissatisfied with was how often there was a substitute teacher, and the general lack of communication there was regarding class schedules and offerings from the office. I hope this review will help you in deciding which program to put your child in, and will provide the school some insite into our experience. We're looking forward to returning for the upcoming fall session!

But we spent alittle over $300 there on everything! There is a $35 or $45 entrance fee depending on when you come. It's just to come inside the lagoon. If you want the obstacle course it's an additional $10 per person for 55 mins (super short). If you want to kayak, use the aqua bike or use the paddleboard it's an additional $10 per equipment/item. There is a kiddie area for small and young children. They DO NOT allow outside food or drinks except water! There is a small shop that sells misc. items, snacks & drinks (overpriced). They also had a foodtruck inside that was expensive and the meals didn't come with drinks. They do have plenty of staff and lifeguards there. The entrance fee should of been $15-20. The obstacle course atleast 90-120 mins instead of the 55 mins. Wish the foodtruck came with drinks and was a bigger portion.

My older son loved it so much that he is now becoming a Junior Leader, which says everything about how meaningful Cali Camp has been for him. My younger son, who is in 2nd grade, went for the first time last year and is already so excited to go back. What really stood out to me was how quickly they both adapted. My younger son joined not knowing anyone and felt welcomed almost immediately. Both of my boys felt included from day one. The staff is incredibly caring, supportive, and attentive. You can truly feel that they work hard to create a safe, joyful environment for the kids, and as a parent that means everything. The activities are fantastic: well planned, age appropriate, engaging, and fun. The natural setting is also beautiful and feels especially important these days. My boys came home with confidence, stories, friendships, and summer memories they will cherish forever. And the camp spirit is real. We still sing the silly songs at home, especially the announcements song whenever we have a family announcement, and the birthday song too. I cannot recommend Cali Camp enough. It has been such a special part of our family's life.

But it now caters to a younger crowd and has substantial co-working space. I've certain found more members using the facilities but also discovered quite a bit of new programmings like the Pilates classes, mahjong club, live jazz performances and movie nights. I was not really sure about the change at the beginning but I am now fully embracing the new LAAC. Many of the staff and members have been here for a long time and it is nice to be greeted by familiar faces when coming to the club. The restaurants are pretty decent. Love to top my salad with a nice piece of salmon after workout at the Famous Players or have a tasty glass of scotch while enjoying the live jazz performance at the Invention. The sports bar Duke's has great happy hours and fun monthly evening karaoke or chess club meetings. The only thing I complain about is the need for shock absorbance and insulation of the noise or moving the weight station. The northwest corner of the Famous Players near Olive Street shakes every time the weightlifters drop their weights, which is very annoying and distracting for the diners. Feel like the ceiling or floor is going to drop out. No joke. For now, I would sit as far away from the northwest corner as I possibly can. But hope the club would look into it. I have been trying to sign up for the monthly wine tasting but they are always full. Maybe consider having the event more frequently or scale up? Regardless, I am still exploring all the new offerings at the club and really pleased with the Pilates classes and the live music performances. Although I am apprehensive when I first see the co-working space and the influx of new members, I now appreciate the additional events and classes that come with the new members and hope the club continues to do well and do better as I am here to stay.

As usual, water in the room costs money, and there are a few other products with hidden price tags in the room, too. Surprisingly, toothbrush and toothpaste was not provided. The water for showering also doesn't get too hot. In terms of the athletic space, the machines were very easy to access. There was never a wait even on weekend afternoons. The lap pool was my favorite part - clean and calm. There was some miscommunication between the lobby and the store, as one said there is no reservation system but there in fact was. But even when told all the lanes were fully reserved, more than half weren't in use. Parking is a bit of a hassle; for non-members it's definitely not worth it. At the time of visit, the parking machine wasn't working. There are also sperate elevators for parking vs the athletic club / hotel area which was a little confusing. The stair numbers also didn't coordinate the best with actual level.

This class is awesome! I was looking for an excercise class on Sundays after church and dinner, and this met my expectations. The salsa music started my feet moving with the instructions I was given. I'm not able to do all of the steps, but I modify to suit my needs which the teacher enjoys. This is a one hour class that really gives you a cardio workout, and the price is right. Come and join us, I'm sure you'll be as excited as I am. read more

Okay this is another dance club where the students in attendance need to get their money back. I mean the back up dancing thing is done. Most good singers have fazed that portion of their routine out of the performance. You don't learn to dance at these places, you just learn how to count while moving on the dance floor. read more

The studios are HUGE and have everything you need - curtains, mirrors, bathrooms/changing areas, chairs, big fans to keep the place cool, audio equipment and anything else you could think of. There are two rooms, which is nice, and one has beautiful wooden flooring, which seems well-maintained and makes for a lovely space. I took a beginner ballet class that was amazing. It's probably the first adult ballet class I've taken where the teacher was not just encouraging, but also seemed to take adult dancers seriously. I felt safe with her corrections and she seemed incredibly knowledgeable about the craft. The students in this class were kinder and more laid back than some of the other studios I've tried out so far, so totally loved the beginner ballet class here because it seems to be community-oriented. I'm only knocking off stars because the studio is HOT, and not in a sexy way. I thought I would collapse from the heat inside that room. It wasn't just hot; it was sticky and humid in there, which is not something I have ever experienced before. There are fans in the studio, but they don't do much to help with cooling down the space. Other dancers were just taking off clothes and walking outside to try to catch their breath. It's pretty remarkable how much hotter it gets inside the studio than even the weather outside, so that made me a little nervous about potentially returning during weeks when the weather is above 80-degrees. It's horrendous. I love Ballet and really enjoyed the class I took, but wish there was a way to cool the place down. Not sure how safe it is to do ballet or any form of physical activity there if you are heat-sensitive, so just be warned about that. It's very much an issue, especially during these months when the weather is 90+. That's a liability waiting to happen.

She gets you dancing right away, records every class for review, and brings the vibes every week. More importantly, she teaches musicality, not just patterns. Instead of memorizing moves, she teaches you how to move comfortably and confidently, how to listen to the music, connect with it, and eventually express yourself on the dance floor. She does a fantastic job making new people feel comfortable and welcome. My partner had never danced in his entire life and was able to immediately thrive in her class. She creates a space where it's okay to mess up and there's no pressure to be perfect but instead it's a way to learn how to get better. She also does such a good job making the group class feel personal- she'll give you individual pointers and feedback that make it feel like she's really paying attention to and invested in everyone on an individual level. It seemed expensive considering most studios allow for one free class to get a sense of the teacher and overall vibe, but the reviews were good so I thought I would give it a try. The class was wayyyyyy too full and we were very disappointed in the instruction. It was too packed for the teacher to engage the kids and was generally chaotic and stressful. the fee included all of the props required for the class, but it was just a bag of dollar store crap - couldn't have been worth more than a few bucks. For $85 they can buy and maintain their own props for the students and keep them at the studio. We were really disappointed and didn't even take our second trial class.
