From the Speisen section, I ordered a Smashed Cheese Burger for 14,70 €. It was 100 % Rindfleisch, Cheddar, Laugenbun, hausgemachte Burgersoße, Pommes. From the Bier section, we got a Helles vom Fass for 4,70 €. From the same section, we got a Dunkles vom Fass for 4,70 €. The Smashed Cheese Burger came out fast and it sure looked delicious. I tried it out and with no surprise, it was delicious. The Pommes were tasty and seemed to never end. The Helles vom Fass was alright. I liked the Dunkles vom Fass much more. We wanted to try out one more item. From the Bier section, we got a Hefeweizen vom Fass for 4,70 €. It came out fast. It was crisp and ended up being my favorite this visit. I took the rest of it outside to the BIERGARTEN with me. I chose a table to sit at and we enjoyed the rest of it. The service was phenomenal. I didn't have any issues. The associate checking me in was professional, informative and speedy. Our room was as requested, two twin beds separated. We could get free parking on the street as space available allows but I opted for the parking garage for €9 per night. We decided to eat in the hotel restaurant for dinner. It was very good. We ordered the veggie order and veggie pasta - both were delicious. They were able to accommodate us for dinner after 8pm . The breakfast buffet was also great with a lot of options. The only con I can think of - plumbing noise is very loud from adjacent rooms. The hotel is very close to Neuschwanstein castle and they have parking as well for 8 Euros per day.

Next to the main restaurant is a quick service area that is in a courtyard with additional tables. On our first visit we arrived at 9 am and my husband wanted what he called a "real" breakfast while my daughter, son-in-law and I wanted a bratwurst sandwich. At this restaurant we could do both. They serve eggs in many different ways with breakfast potatoes, sausages, pancakes and more. They courtyard area opens up with a griddle that cooks up (to almost a blister) the most amazing bratwursts that any of us have ever tasted. To make the sandwiches over the top and mind blowing they place it inside of a bun that could be described as manna from heaven and add a smear of incredible tasting Germany mustard. The bratwurst can not be compared to what we eat back home so about 5 hours after the first dining experience we went back for another sandwich.

The hotel is just a five-minute walk from the main train station, the town square and the ski lifts and has a bus station just outside. The only hiccup was we called to reserve the spot we love and when we got there it was taken. Luckily there was another one like it for us. The lake is warm and well-kept. The bathroom facilities are okay, but not great. You have to pay extra for hot water, but that is pretty normal. The best thing is it is under an hour drive from Munich, but feels like you are in the woods somewhere. I would definitely recommend, but not without a car!

The host does not speak english well at all, but that was really not an issue. She rolls over a breakfast cart in the morning at the time that you tell her that you want breakfast. It includes small portions of meat, yogurt, juice, honey, jam and bread. You also let her know what you want for a drink - coffee, espresso, etc... and she brings that too. She also asked if we wanted eggs and we did so she sent a soft boiled egg for each of us. There is a set of dishes and silverware to use as well as a hot kettle and coffee pot. The view is just awesome. You look down into the valley and across at Lermoos. Behind you is Zugspitze, which you can only see out the bathroom window from the unit. This place was better than I expected and we added a night and stayed an additional night because we enjoyed it so much. The only thing I can say negatively is that I had brought my own fruit and ate it the first morning for breakfast. Some of the raspberries were moldy, so I didn't eat those. I left the container with them in it on the breakfast cart, so that she could discard it and the next day they were in a fruit bowl with some additional fruit. I know for sure they were those raspberries as I had eaten 1/2 of some and left the moldy portion and some 1/2 berries came over. I just didn't eat them and there was plenty of other food, just thought that was odd. That receives no deductions from me. I still absolutely loved it and will definitely return, if we return to this area.
