After calling them on a Sunday morning, when they were closed, a lady, who speaks bit of English, was so helpful, patient and understanding. She helped me, a mother, who was worried about her son who had a car engine blown up nearby, on his way to the French Alpes, after had just crossed from Dover. After being rejected from two other car hire companies in Gauchy for not speaking French, it was such a relief to know that this lady, called Laurence (apologies if wrongly spelt), understood how worry I was and made a tremendous effort to understand a mix of very little French with my English. On Monday, again, she was very very helpful when my son turned up to hire the car. You are a business in a French town, but we now live in a very open world.
