The club bar is pleasant and if the weather is nice, you can perch yourself by the little lake outdoors and breathe in the fresh Wicklow air. This is a golf club bar so it's naturally verging on the conservative side of things. The menu is not veggie friendly - I think there was one goat's cheese option - but the meat-eaters were more than satisfied with their fish cakes and the 'Golfer's burger'. Dishes were generally €10-€13 which is a little steep for lunch. If you're in the area for a walk then it's a pleasant place to pop into for a snack and a cuppa, particularly if you like rubbing shoulders with the golfie set.

The course is placed on a very tight parcel of land which makes walking the course fairly easy although the course is hilly. As a parkland course, it is a forgiving venue for the high handicapper but challenging for better golfers. The bar area is very nice with good food and really wonderful views of the course especially the 18th hole. Well worth your time if you are in the area.

A hike or walk here will ensure you some nature backed peace and calmness. the park is close to Dublin making for an easy 1/2 day or day trip. In my brain, mountains are supposed to be rock with no greenery: The Wicklow Mountains, however, are unlike many traditional mountain ranges and have lush greenery all over them.
