She happily greeted and acknowledged everyone even though she was busy. I listened to her offer additional products and services, encourage clients to enroll in packages and positioned in a way that was beneficial to each client. She even overcame initial objections with more questions, but again in a way that didn't seem like a sales push, more of a benefit and trying to understand how she could help more. In this day and age where people almost expect sub par service as "the norm", the high level of service which Chloe displayed to myself and others is a breath of fresh air! What can I say? It was my first waxing job "down there" and I must say, I'll never forget it. (Ouch!) The waxing itself was super painful, which is to be expected for a first-timer, and pretty, well, intimate, if that's an appropriate word? In general, let's just say it was a memorable experience, if not one of the most painful experiences of my life! They say it gets less painful the more you do it, but I don't know if I can handle another session! So, the actual waxing job aside, I do have some thoughts on the establishment itself. At first glance, it looks very nice and welcoming. Nice furnishings with a modern feel. But once I started interacting with the girl at the counter, who was very kind and sweet, I felt like I was getting the full-court press. It was just a lot of pressure to be interested in and to purchase future services and products. I kind of hate that kind of stuff. As for the actual service, I entered the room with the technician and she did a good job explaining to me what was about to go down. Once I felt ready, she told me to undress from the waist down. I'm not sure if it's customary but I expected her to leave the room while I got ready, but she just turned around and continued to prep for the session. So, I just backed into a small corner and took off my pants and underwear and then just stood there very sheepishly and uncomfortably half-naked waiting for my next instruction. It was very embarrassing to say the least. She asked me to then step up onto the cushioned table. There was no step stool and no graceful way to do it, so I just very carefully tried to get up there while attempting to minimize any further humiliation. From there, she was all business and I couldn't wait for the pain to end! So, with all of that said and after having received the waxing, I can see how casual the technicians can be doing this all day, every day that they work. And how a curtain or a drape to cover myself would have been pretty pointless in the end. But, it was just an odd and awkward introduction to what would be a very revealing experience. I'm still amazed that they do this! I'm not sure what part of my experience was unique to this establishment or what was just very normal for this kind of service. I'm pretty easy going either way though, and I just found the whole experience very unique because I've never done a wax for that part of my body before and eye-opening, because, well, I've never done a wax for that part of my body before! It would have been nice to have some privacy undressing, but again, after what happens with the wax, I can see how it would seem excessive. In conclusion, it was a fine experience. I'm not sure I need to go in for another one, but as far waxing goes, I feel like they do a fine job. read more

First time EVER getting a bikini line wax. Wow! Yes it hurts but they did a great job! Very professional and clean. I've never had the dry wax before so that was cool - they let it dry then rip it off. No sheets to lay on top of. I really hope it lasts closer to 4 weeks, rather than 3. Location is convenient and pricing seems normal ($38 for bikini line wax) but the first service is free! Can't wait to see the results. read more

Even though I now live out of state, I frequent this place anytime I come home. Whitney has been my waxer for the past three or four years... since this place opened. She is amazing! Not only does she know what she is doing, but she is incredibly professional and friendly. I also like that she doesn't push the products hard core. She will mention things to me once in a while, but there is never pressure. As for the staff out front, I am taking a star off. I am not shy, but a little discretion in the lobby is necessary. I don't really want it announced really really loud to everyone in the lobby that I am getting a Brazilian (not that I am scared to announce it here), but come on.. it is just as easy to say "your service". Anyhow, check this place out. I highly recommend it. If you can get into Whitney, do it! If not, I am sure everyone is great. read more

I ended up waiting a few weeks after my service to post this because I wasn't sure if it was just me but other reviewers had mentioned similar experiences. It was my first bikini wax and from doing research prior to going forward it was my understanding that waxing is most likely to prevent ingrowns unless it's done incorrectly and what I have now about 1 month later is a ton of ingrowns where I was waxed. I bought their scrub and ingrown treatment serum because the girls at the front desk were rather pushy and also said it was on special but after looking at my receipt, it was definitely not priced the same as it was on the shelf and I spent $100 for this miserable experience and unhelpful products. Also there was a miscommunication between me just wanting a bikini line wax but ended up getting a full bikini and paying for it because it wasn't clarified anytime with the waxer before starting the service and being half way through and thinking 'this doesn't feel accurate.' Another level of uncomfortability was walking into the room and asking how far to undress and she told me from the bottom down entirely and just kind of stood in the corner waiting for me, which in any other establishment or doctors appointment they leave and come back in a minute to give you space, Which I would recommend EWC start doing since I'm not the first to mention this. Overall I just felt very taken advantage of and like I paid for things not worth the price especially now seeing how the aftermath of the service has been and struggling with a ton of ingrown hairs. read more

This place is so hit or miss, but it is mostly a miss. On occasion there will be a good wax specialist. They usually last for a month or two, and then are gone which is so disappointing. (BTW - I have been to many EWC locations and this is consistent across all of them) On my last visit, the waxer was sniffling the whole time. This was really uncomfortable and unprofessional, as she was inches away from my face (waxing my brows). I'm not a germaphobe by any means but it really grossed me out. I used to love this place but I will not be going again, I went in for a brazilian and an underarm wax like usual, this time however was extremely rushed and though the girl was nice she wasn't thorough. I have patches of long hair left over, previously they would pluck them out or do clean up strips but non of that happened. Worse than all of this is when I was on my way home and realized how much more painful it was than usual. I looked in the mirror at my underarms and realized I was burned! It's extremely painful and not what you expect when you pay that much for a "quality wax experience". Both my underarms and bikini are super sensitive and hurt to touch. I'll attach a photo of my underarms after putting on creme to help the burn. Since the photo was taken it's gotten worse and more painful. I 100% will not be coming back. This place has really disappointed me. Save yourself some pain and go to a more credible, clean, wax facility! read more

European Wax in Draper used to be great but they're turnover lately is crazy!!! As a business owner and a formal retail work hard this reflects on management and ownership! Side effect of that is they never have a full staff it's a lot harder to get in you won't ever get to have the same waxer. On top of that of someone is sick they can't move you around ! I made an appointment a week ago for three services which I scheduled prior to a big vacation someone calls in sick and basically I just get canceled altogether. I feel like selling me a pass is fraud because they can't get me in when I need to. As soon as my pass is up I won't be going back ! Also will not be taking my two teenagers or husband there anymore they lost four CUSTOMER today..... Update district manager called me apologized profusely and said training would be emphasized to better deal with the short staffing issues. Passes work at all locations so if someone is sick they will be trying to move you in case of vacation etc . She was so polite and helpful read more

Aubrielle is my go to!! She's freaking amazing! EWC is definitely the place to go for your waxing needs. I regularly get my brazilian and full legs done. I typically end up adding on my stomach strip as well, because why not. I also cannot live without the medium brow powder, the brow brush, the face exfoliating gel and the clear brow gel; OH AND THE BODY POLISH. Those products keep me gorgeous and smooth. I also adore Shandi as well! Shandi and Aubrielle are literally the best wax specialist I have ever had. You can't go wrong with either one of them. If you're going to get waxed regularly then I HIGHLY recommend getting a wax pass. They save you a bunch of money and they transfer to any center in the US and they don't ever expire. So this location has such great customer service. People there are nice . When you call you schedule an appointment the girl at the desk actually picks up the phone (unlike European wax centers in San Diego) and when they pick up the phone they're nice and friendly & don't sound like they hate their job. The wonderful lady that waxed me was also really nice . I got to chat it up with her while she was waxing me and she kinda gave me some ideas on what to do while I'm here in Utah. First time waxing was BAD. I signed up for a brazilian and full leg. It was SO Painful. The wax kept breaking when she tried to pull it off (since they dont use muslin strips) so it hurt way worse than necessary. My Brazilian was splotchy at best with a lot of hairs left over, she was NOT thorough in between, and didn't even do the back. She literally left full sections of leg up on my thighs. When I got home there was little bits of wax all over the place and left over hair and even slight bruising. They seemed more interested in getting me to buy expensive products than giving me a good wax. I went to "Wax Me Too" a month later and it was A MILLION TIMES BETTER. They are much more thorough and considerate. Better service, and less pain. read more

I used to get my eyebrows waxed with soft wax and every time they would be crazy uneven and it would be super painful. Then I found threading and that was a little better but I still had to fix them when I got home. The threading hurt worse than the soft wax. I was kind of in a pickle because I didn't want to have them waxed with soft wax or threaded. I am also super picky about how my eyebrows look. I knew I had to get my eyebrows done sooner rather than later. So I went on yelp and I found European Wax Center. I called and booked an appointment on the same day! They were all so professional and everyone there was super nice! I had an amazing experience with Malissa. She was very meticulous and paid so close attention to the details of my eyebrows. She took extra time to make sure they were perfect and exactly how I wanted them. I am more than impressed with how they look! She even filled them in for me! They use hard wax so there was little to no pain. I now know I for sure have a new eyebrow place. It was an amazing choice! If you like seeing pubes on the ground- go for it! My 1st and only visit was not a good one. Just got a bikini wax. I was reminded about the appt, which was great. I was told to come in about 10 min early for first time paperwork. Ok. Showed up 15 min early, since I was in the area. The "paperwork" consisted of confirming my address and phone number... So I waited. No big deal as I felt like I was running around all day so it was nice to just sit. I finally got to go in with Mia, after she walked out with her prior client. I walked into the room, she tells me to take off my bottoms. I asked- now...? She said yes. Ok... I've been to the gyno, so I guess it's no big deal, right? Then, I noticed a bunch of hairs on the floor. I asked "is this normal...?" while pointing to the hair. She explained that she was rushed to get me in since I was early. So, it's my fault the floor is gross? I offered to go back out and wait, even if she wanted to sweep it in a corner, quickly. She gave me a look like I was burning time. So, I proceeded to undress and kept my flip flops on. I was spread eagle... with no count down or "breath-in... and out..." I think I pissed her off and was being "punished" for it. Half-way through, I asked how long she's been waxing, and it seemed to open her up more, and the "breathe-in... and out" comments started to happen. Wax wasn't perfect, but I had enough of the place at that point. So- my point is, they are getting people in and out as fast as they can- skimping on cleaning and quality. It may be good for business with all the back to back appointments, but I would much rather have a spa like experience and it's not too much to ask to CLEAN the previous person's pubes off the ground. read more
