After Sadaf examined my naturally short eyelashes, she told me that I wasn't going to be happy with the results and to not waste my money. She suggested to use a lash serum for a month and return to her. Sooo happy I didn't spend the money on a lash lift that wasn't going to truly curl or lift my lashes!! The brow wax and meticulous tweezing was painless and she shaped my brows naturally. The brow lamination took 10 min and I was told not to wet them for 24 hours. I'm so happy I trusted her and I will see her again in 5-6weeks for another brow lamination and wax! Overall I paid $99 for both.

At this location, at the corner of Preston and Park, Miriam has managed my waxing for about a year now. She trains all the estheticians and so the service level is assured. This is not the first place I've had waxing, but it's the place I'll go from now on. Make sure you take advantage of their package deals. I have sensitive skin, and am amazed at how little pain there is with this location's service (the warmth of the wax opens the pores - including hair follicles - and my skin is pulled taut before the pull, so my skin's not torn in the process). Miriam takes care of stray hairs with tweezers, making sure I'm as cleaned up as possible. I've never found strays after I leave. I've had full leg, underarm, forearm, and Brazilian waxing there. All were well done, with a courteous, friendly, and professional attitude. I highly recommend them.l read more

I cancelled my appointment due to finding out thru a voicemail that she no longer is at the Preston location, this has put me in a frantic mode. She had me get undressed and I had nothing to cover myself for when she returned. I know she's going to see it, but the hallway doesn't have to! So she begins the prepping, sprays my crotch directly like she's washing a window, and dries me with paper towels, or sand paper? It felt the same. Next a pile of scented baby powder, great. I asked if it had talc because that's a big no no on my crotch. She had no idea, checked the bottle, no talc, but then asked what talc was. ‍ After every time she touched something she Didn't sanitize, she just seemed to change gloves or add a new one? It was odd, but whatever works I guess. Finally it came to the actual sugaring. She MICROWAVES the whole jar right next to me, several times, checking by tapping the inside of the jar to see if it's ready. The other place I have gone before, and will only go now, uses special warmers because sugar wax is basically food and will cook in a microwave. My esthetician let me know this was how ALL of the Sugaring NYC's do it that way. A national chain can't afford the proper equipment? No, they're just cheap and greedy. So the the hair removal starts, this was way extremely painful not at all like I'm used to. I had to stop her so I wouldn't be bruised. She did discount me since we didn't do the full service and I tipped her the same because it isn't her fault, it's the company who didn't give her the tools or training.

How is this place even working with such shoddy business practices??? Why provide reservation options when the place will cancel an hour before?? Or why not have enough staff to ensure bookings are fulfilled? Found a much better and honest salon in this area.
