Do yourself a favor and book Cat for your special -- or ordinary -- moments! You won't regret it…read more As a busy family of 4, with two kids under 3, time flies. Often, we're so busy that we forget to pause and take in the little things, or to stop and celebrate milestones, or mourn the "last time" we did something (e.g. breastfeed). We are so glad we found Cat and started our "Year in the Life" sessions when my little one was just a few months old. Cat coaxed our toddler into cooperating (she is so good with kids!) and captured the chaos of life with a toddler and a newborn and the sweetness of two siblings getting to know each other. Fast forward half a year, and we did our second session, which so beautifully captured the girls' budding friendship, two less tired (but still tired) parents, and a farewell to an 8 month nursing journey. Cat is a genius behind the camera and makes us feel comfortable, and the photos show that. It is really nice to have these photos now and in the future to remember the "ordinary" stuff. My new bride and I selected Kevin to capture both our engagement and wedding as we had seen some of…read morehis work on his website and through some of his "Image of the Month" newsletters after signing up for them. The engagement session was conducted on the coast at a nearby beach. Kevin's attention to detail and instinct in having us perform some fun poses proved to be really memorable. We had so much fun and he captured our love of one another and family spot on. It was the perfect preamble to what was about to come at the wedding and solidified our decision for engaging with Kevin for the wedding. The wedding was a beautiful day. The months of hard work and romance of our special day was captured from every perspective. Not ever working with a photographer, we were anxious but excited to work with Kevin, but unsure of what to ask, what to expect, what to pay, etc... Kevin was great from start to finish. His attention to detail and his listening skills are amazing. He was able to capture our day, our happiness and the laughter of all our family and friends from so many vantage points. We remember thinking back, oh yeah, we did ask for that and he remembered and worked the request from beginning to end with expert attention. Wedding photos to me always seem like a chore when watching a new bride and groom going through the experience. Kevin erased those preconceived notions and surprised us with his fun way around grabbing us at the moment and setting the scene for what later turned out to be the "perfect" shot. He did this over and over, but in such a way that the whole experience was fun and didn't seem like work or he was taking us away from our day and family. Kevin enhanced our day's fun by pulling everyone into the experience and making it romantic and fun at the same time. His technical knowledge of photography clearly is exhausting as he made so many difficult lighting shots look easy, and once we saw the final product, safe to say we are amazed and couldn't possibly be happier with the outcome. We've heard horror stories about newlyweds and not having their day captured the way they wanted or the photographer missed certain aspects of the day. Kevin not only captured everything we wanted, he went above and beyond and captured so much more. The still shots on DVD are wonderful, but when we finally went through the experience of selecting which photo's should be part of the album and received the finished product- we were blown away. That accompanied by a full set of DVDs (including a video which we didn't even know about) have memorialized our special day forever. Meera Fox photographed my wedding this year and I was so lucky to have chosen her to do the job…read more My ceremony happened at sunrise and Meera was there to get every magical second of it. Then she stayed with me all day and all night until the last guest left the reception. If you are going to have a photographer by your side on the most important day of your life every minute of that day, it needs to be someone whose presence adds to the occasion and empowers you, without changing the vibe of the event. Meera was perfect in this way. It felt like she had my back no matter what we were doing. She was simply there, doing her job the whole time, but she was making everything feel special and making me feel beautiful and calm. The photos she took at my reception were epic! I had the quirky idea to do an old fashioned formal portraiture look where everyone was serious in the photos, just like they used to do in the olden days when people had to hold still for a long time to have their portraits taken, so no one smiled. Trying not to smile of course made everyone feel very silly, so Meera got serious and then funny ones of each group. I loved them all. Then Meera also roamed around the party all evening taking her famous candid shots of all the guests partying and having fun. These are moments I will always treasure and she documented everything so thoroughly. I can't wait now to have a baby because I want Meera Fox Photography to take baby portraits for me! Meera Fox has done a modeling shoot with my husband and he looks so amazing in the photos. I love her retro aesthetic and her technical rigor. As a professional photographer myself I am extremely choosy about who I hire to do photographs for me and of me. Meera Fox Photography is the best of them all.
