I have been going for a couple of months now and I love it. The respondent was spot on. I love the sermons. They are full of teaching and meaning, and give you something you can use in your everyday life. The pastor stays solid on biblical TRUTHS and when the sermon is over, you have no doubt in what he is conveying.

Instead of helping us take a step back and be a peacemaker, he made me (at 49) feel isolated, alone and chastised like a 12 year old boy. In addition, in his message for my father almost the second after he said, "I don't mean to be political" he followed it with two politically charged statements in is remarks. Unprofessional, unpastoral. Would not recommend. Will also make sure to share this message to others. Thank you to the many who after speaking to them about this were brave enough to tell me they have either experienced the same, heard of the same or worse left the church because of a similar experience. Everyone was really surprised they had good reviews, none of the people on the site were in the room where I attended, and the amount of times discipline was used made me feel a little thrown off, not the biggest red flags but I just had a weird feeling in my gut. So I looked up Kansas City International Christian Church which is what this church had a whole presentation on being apart of & it's founded by the same man that founded International Church of Christ, Thomas "Kip" McKean & this made me have some MAJOR concerns (look this up). Not to mention all reviews for this church are no recent than 2020 & the Facebook page for Kansas City international Christian church has 5 reviews with 3 talking about money & bitcoin which is odd to me. Too many red flags & I just didn't feel comfortable but the small group I met was kind my first visit.

It has a large parking lot, and is a nice sized church. The bookstore is one of the first things you see when entering, after walking across the large entrance. The bookstore is beautiful, with not only religious books but metaphysical, and self help books, as well as crystals, and healing tools, pendulums, jewelry, gifts. The staff is helpful and know their products. In the church itself, are several large "Sunday School" rooms, that are used for meetings during non church times. The large reiki group meets here 2 Mondays a month. On the next day, there may be a Buddahist gathering, that's how Unity Church is. The sanctuary is medium sized, bright even at night. The pews are light colored wood. Padded. The sound is sufficient for speakers, or even quiet activities like Shamanic drumming groups. The stage area has 4 steps, and a bright light. The speakers always complain about the bright light, but it makes them look good. I can see this used for weddings in the summer. The yellow tones would be a beautiful backdrop. There's alot of metaphysical events that take place here. An entire calendar is on their website. I appreciate Unity as they are not a "holier than thou" church. I really like this location.

Despite I am not a spiritual person this website contains articles and literature on mental wellness and relationships. I find their e-book "Being Your Best Self... With Difficult People" very resourceful and helpful in my Sisyphean Task. With a calm mind in turbulent times one can accomplish any challenge which the insight from Spirituality & Health provides a holistic approach. There is also the emphasis of empathy and compassion in their articles. However, the holistic approach is not entirely overpowering nor aggressive but very subtle in their articles and literature. Amid the daily motivation emails are heavily cluttered with religious and spiritual beliefs which many are irrelevant for me. This January, 2024 marks two (2) years of my beloved family member's expiring; this June, 2024 marks thirty seven (37) years of another beloved family member's expiring; and this March, 2024 marks forty nine (49) years of another beloved family member's expiring which all are indelible for my continual grieving the unfathomable losses. I read and value Spirituality & Health's grief literature which is comforting and healing. With mindfulness self-care, resilience, compassion, and understanding empathetic I believe the world can be a better healthy processed living environment.

Feels slightly weird to review a church, but oh well…read more We've been coming here for almost two years. The new location is large and roomy, and the people are warm and interesting. Great for the kids, lots of food, fun, and volunteer opportunities in the church and beyond. The warmth and fellowship of a church community sans supernatural belief requirements. Plus encouragement to live mindfully, ethically, and contribute to the larger world. Opportunities for kids to learn about a variety of topics in a safe environment and make a separate set of friends from school. Of course, no church is PERFECT, but this one's got a lot of potential for greatness...
